VoiceTrading Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I have some problems configuring my outgoing routes.

I want to use one route (VoiceTrading, or short: VT) for
all my outgoing calls.

I want 2 things:

- users should be able to dial as they are used to do:

* calls to Belgium need to be dialed as 02-1234567
(but VT expects 00-32-2-1234567)
* calls to all other countries should be dialed as 00-44-76-123456

- depending on the destination I want to make use of the grey/standard/premium routes that VT offers:

* for calling Belgium, I want to use Premium-routing, which expects me to dial 000-32-2-1234567.
* Calls to most other countries as Standard-route 00-33-2-1234567.
* Calls to some selected countries as Grey-route 00001-34-2-1234567

Can this be achieved? If yes, how?

Thanks !
Yves

Will all these be using the same trunk?

I only have one account with VoiceTrading, so, yes, 1 trunk.
You asked for my mail address. I can't reach you with a PM I think.
My email address is my pbxes login @gmail.com.

Thanks!
Yves

Although you have 1 account at VT you can configure as many trunks as you want. Voicetrading will allow you to make more than 1 call at the same time.

I have setup VT on pbces using different caller ID's. For example I first dial say 41 which gives me called id 1 42 caller id 2 and so on.

The problem you have is something I am also looking for. For 1 id did find a solution. In dialing patterns in trunks you can for example add another 0 if you dial 00

But I don't know how you can handle 02-3xx as belgium number to strip the frist 0 and replace that with 0032.

have tried the following

I have setup several trunks using voicetrading.

Different trunks have different caller id's

In my example I first have to dail say 30 for trunk 1 31 for trunk 2 32 for 3 and so on.

In the outbound routing is says 30|xx.

This means the 30 will always be deleted.
In inbound routing I also set the trunk sequence = trunk I use in my exmaple VT1.

Go to trunks now VT1.

Go to the dial rules and add:

0032+0|Z.

what this will do is whenever you dial 30 0475, the 30 will be stripped in the outboud routing.
the Z is important as it expects a 0 but than a number from 1 till 9.
The 0 will be stripped but before you replaced it with 0032 the country code.

This way you can dial a local number but it will add the contry code 0032 before it. Ofcourse when you live in the netherlands you can add 0031 or 0049 for germany.

I think it would also work to add you area code before the dial pattern.

So when you live in amsterdam 020 you would dial 1234567.

003120+zz.

So when you dial 30 (outside line) than local numer it would add 003120 before that number.

Also when you have users in different countries you can setup different trunks. User 1 in belgium dials 30 than local number using trunk 1. user 2 in germany dials 31 using trunk 2 and so on.

as for the grey list.

00001

add the foloowing to dial rules in the trunk

00001+00|33Z.

Whenever you dial 0033123 it will strip the first 00 and should replace this with 00001

you could also go further for example uk mobile starts with 7 so when you only want to specity premium rate for uk mobile you add:

000+00|447Z.

Hope this works for you. Please let me know if it does.

Tip to setup voicetrading using a caller id you want.

Create a trunk

Username: 0032475... (The number you want on your caller id)
Password: yourpassword:voicetradingunsername

Please note that in the password field you fill in your password than : than your voicetrading username.

This way the trunk will show the caller id you set in the username field.

Now you can setup different trunks showing different caller id's. Using voicetrading you can setup more than 1 trunk.
By the way you can do same trick with other betamax clones to show the caller id. Please have it verified when you use clones. voicetrading does not need verification.
