Testing DTMF Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I recently had a need to test DTMF to a PSTN number for a new user of the PBX. That new user uses an IVR for testing purposes.

I have tested DTMF threough the PBX to that PSTN number several ways and pretty much found the same result whenever the PBX was involved. I would be interested in knowing if any users can make their own tests and post the results here.

The test number is 1 415 354 7007 . It simply walks you through a series of dialing digits.

If you can help me with this, please state at what point (digit string) you had issues, if any.

Thanks

I have tested with an SPA-2100 with the Audio Bypass set to Yes and to No, and completed the test in both cases successfully.

I will test with an SPA-1001 behind a firewall and let you know.

Today, I tested with an SPA-1001 behind a firewall, and got different results between Line 1 and Line 2.

On Line 1, I have directly provisioned an account with a SIP provider, which is also setup as a trunk for outgoing calls on my PBXes.

On Line 2, I have provisioned an extension of my PBXes, which uses the same SIP provider setup on Line 1 on the Outbound Route.

The test was successful using Line 1, but failed when using Line 2. Note that, the test was successful using an extension from the same PBXes, along with the same trunk, from an SPA-2100.

So the router has definitely something to do with not passing the DTMF tones properly.

I have used the test to test my mobile phone through pbxes.

I have the folowwing problem.

I call the 415 number using a phone attached to pbxes. When answering I transfer the call to my mobile phone.

This means that pbxes has 2 open lines. 1 going to the 415 number the otherone going to my mobile phone. I am using voicetrading as a carrier.

I do the tests and the voice says test succesfully.

Now my problem is that whenever I use callback on the pbxes, by mobile phone is being called back using voicetrading. I try to type a number but it seems as if pbxes is not recognizing the dtmf tones. I keep on hearing a dialtone.

Als when calling my mobile phone through pbxes using voicetrading and typing 1till0 and # and * key on my mobile phone I can clearly hear the tones.

How can I solve this problem
