Port assignment for two devices on the same network Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Hi everybody,

I am using A PAP2 with PBX, along with WIP330 Wireless-G, it seems they cant get registered at the same time and seems the reason is the port (both using 5060), what are the port range applicable (do i have ti change the matching port for the extension, if yes where can I do that).

Another question, anyone tested PBXes in Dubai,????

First of all you can choose whatever number as the local port. It could be neccessary with some routers to have unique local port numbers.

As described on the help screen you can use ports 5060, 5061 and 80 to connect to PBXes.

This is configured on your phone/ATA.

I believe that Etisalat is blocking the default SIP ports in Dubai, as well as the rest of UAE.

dubaistu is the resident expert on this though.
