PBXes down Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Hi,
Is PBXes down ?
All my extensions have gone off and pbxes.org isn't going anywhere,
Regards

Edit: Now it seems back up

Edit: Just gone off again, extensions have been on and off, web interface slow.

Edit: This is a continuing major problem, is it being investigated ?

Hi Bobmats,
The service status screen on www2 shows critical problems with sip service on all servers having been up and down. www1 is still not stable, my extensions keep going off. As you say, web interface has also been getting very slow.
I wish we could get a statement on the problem as service is disrupted over 24hrs now.
Regards

I changed to www3 2 days ago and only had a small problem today.

I did not even check the pbxes status page.

But like everytime we will just have to wait. This does remind me that 1 week ago there was a message about an update to get more resources. Have not heared how that worked out.

Today there was a downtime of less than an hour. At this time we are facing a monthly growth of up to 50% (not easy to tell exact usage based numbers) on PBXes.

Everything is built on enough reserve but sometimes we hit limits that have not been envisioned before. We still learn lots from such events to be able to further increase reliability (that has already reached a high level).

Hi IPTel,
Yes I agree reliability has been excellent for several months. These problems occurred intermittently from yesterday evening about 1800 until today around 1700.
Hopefully all is stable again now,
Regards

Accounts 60.247
Extensions 67.191

As far as I can remember some month ago accounts and extensions were around 50.000 en 53.000 so 50% per month might be to much in extensions or is this 50% in usage ?

I have to disagree with telagent. Realiabily has not been that good since this year. Problems with Paris server, than some other problems, dns problems last year. When I started using pbxes a few years ago reliability was a lot better than last year.

It's good to have growth but seems like this year there have been to many problems.

vps clouds are getting lower in price and they offer good realibility. If server goes down the image is started on a different server in seconds. although is initial some more work It's something I am considering. Also because of the lack of information here, or slow responce.
