European Backup Server Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

In europe we were able to select Nürnberg www1 and Paris www5.

since www5 paris has been taken offline because of reliability issues there only remains 1 european server www1 Nürnberg.

The last month's www1 also seemed to have some problems, disc failure etc.
for european users there is no alternative server now to select.

Using USA or Japan will cause higher pin times from europe and this is not good for voip traffic.

When will you have another european backup server so we have a choice to select a european server ?

There are two servers in Europe, www1, and www3. We have enabled the control panel to be able to switch between them.

Ok thanks

Both are Nürnberg I assume. Are they in 2 different datacenters or all in the same datacenter ?

One is located in Nürnberg and the other in Falkenstein, which is about 200 km away from Nürnberg. Network connections to Frankfurt are organized as a ring to provide redundancy of the peerings and uplinks.
