Repetetive expiration notices in System Log Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Does anyone know what this means?
I used to only get this from one of my extensions, but now it seems most of the extensions have this issue. These are the entries in the System Log:

May 19 16:16:03 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5007' expires 3600
May 19 16:16:22 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-310' expires 3600
May 19 16:52:06 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 17:51:16 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 18:50:59 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 19:50:09 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 20:13:33 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5007' expires 3600
May 19 20:49:18 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 21:13:20 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-3002' expires 3600
May 19 21:48:28 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600
May 19 22:48:23 VERBOSE[26968] logger.c: -- Registered SIP 'memo-5003' expires 3600

Any info would be gladly welcome...

A new "Registered SIP" line is stored if a device was unregistered and becomes registered again. This can happen if it re-registers after more than one hour or registers from a new IP address.

It can also indicate that one terminal is using more than one PBXes account which is not supported.

So this repetitive problem has returned. It seems that all my
issues are with the same extension. This problem is somehow related to this:

http://www1.pbxes.com/forum/thread.php?t...1213999254&sid=

I cleared up the loop issue, but now it freezes and has repeat registrations. Could it be that the vonage and pbxes ports are overlapping? Would that cause these symptoms?

As I wrote in the other thread too: "Mixing and matching SIP User Agents on the same LAN requires very careful provisioning of the ports used for signaling (SIP) and media (RTP)".

In essence you need to connect every UA on a hub and run a packet sniffer to determine which UA is using which port.

"The signaling port needs to be unique for every SIP UA on the same LAN, otherwise all kinds of weird behavior is to be expected".

Thanks. I'm just really wishing this issue wasn't in another city!
