FaxMail, PopFax.com and i-call.gr

I have setup a trunk to receive faxes and calls. I have set destination to the extension i want it to ring and also fax settings:
I use i-call.gr DID, and have set that my phone does not support 729 so it goes with 711u

Fax Switch: Yes
Pause After Answer:8
Fax Extension:System
Fax Email:xxx@xxx.xxx

When i try to send a fax with popfax.com there is a record in my call monitor:
2008-05-30 10:52:14 "asterisk" in_fax ­ sip.i-call.gr ext-fax 00:00:30


But i then receive the following email from popfax.com:
Date-time of transmission : 2008-05-30 09:52:11 Number : +302112705470 Pages : 1 OK/ERR_type : NF Cost(POP units) : 1

NEW CREDIT STATUS OF YOUR ACCOUNT: XXX POP units NF - Call answered and fax communication tone sent repeatedly for around of 1 minute. If no fax response detected, the communication is stopped. If the called number is a GSM or another "advanced network" number, fax unavailability is declared by the network. If voice detection is enabled the call is aborted when voice is detected


Any ideas how to make it work?

Let me ask you a few questions regarding this issue:

• Does the system accept a fax from a regular land-line (stathero OTE)?
• Have you tried to set the ICall Inbound Route to accept fax only, by setting the Fax Switch to No?

On a totally unrelated question, do you have any DIDs from NoNoh?

- I have not tried to send a fax from a landline, but will test it.
- Yes i did try that too, same error from popfax.

What you mean DIDs from Nonoh? I use nonoh, but have not found any Nonoh DIDs, probably you mean something else i did not understood.

For providers which do not supply any DIDs (NoNoh in your case), the Register field in the Account section should be set to No (just outbound calls) in their Trunk configuration.
