I would like to request that you do not cross-post in multiple threads, regarding the same issue.

A couple of questions, to clarify this issue you are facing:

• What kind of router is the PAP2 behind?
• Are you using a STUN server?

Try to decrease the Re-Registration interval to 600 sec first and then to 300 sec, if and only if the issue persists.

im using a linksys WRT54G but my ISP have all the ports closed.

i tested 2 stun servers and i have the same problem, now im using stunserver.org

i changed expired time to 600 and 300 and after this time go unregistered and says: Can't connect to login server

i have other extension registered in my voxalot, and voxalot registered in my other line of the pap2, its working but everyday i need to re-register in the voxalot providers.

PS: sorry for double post

I believe it is time for you to look for another ISP. What country are you in?

You don't have many options then, either DSL from Telmex with 128K upload or cable modem from Cablevision.

Choose the cable modem, since it has better upload speed.

This sounds more like a NAT traversal issue that anything else. If the ports were completely blocked, your PAP2 wouldn't be able to register at all after a reboot.

Nat traversal issues point to firewalls. As a test, disconnect everything else from the cable modem, connect the PAP2 directly to it, and verify if the issue persists.

Keep in mind that Cablevision doesn't assign public IPs to their cable modems, so with the PAP2 behind any router, it has to perform dual NAT traversal.

Ensure that you reboot the modem first, and then the PAP2 when you connect it directly to the cable modem.

Can you please indicate to which Proxy you are registering in the section Proxy and Registration of the PAP2 ATA?

Also, please delete Extensions (Internos) 1 and 2 and recreate them as 100 and 200, since one digit shortcuts are reserved for Ring Groups (Grupos de llamadas).

I have a PAP2 running one of my extensions that is patched in to my internal home wiring and the other port direct to a provider for a fax. It is probably the most stable of my devices. It took me a while to set it up, but haven't even needed to look at it since. To compare can you paste in the page where you put your account settings (remove the password of course)? And I will check my settings to see if I notice anything that might help.

Atentamente,

Memo
