Snom 821 Dropping incompatible voice frame Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Hi,

Just a question about logs when setting up an internal call with a Snom 821 firmware 8.7.5.35
Call starts in g722 format then it changes to ulaw but why?
The g722 frames are dropped
Format changes again before the actual audio is transmitted.

It seems your Snom is sending ulaw frames which makes PBXes switch over to ulaw. You can find more details by recording a Wireshark trace on your LAN.
