Eyebeam softphone and Hold Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Client was using Eyebeam softphone with PBXes. When G729 passthrough was added, began receiving CODEC errors. Client Disabled G729 on softphones, this Eliminating CODEC errors, but now after placing a call on hold, can not recuperate call (take off hold)

Any Ideas?

I just tried this with X-Lite 3.0 w/o problems. If the problem persists please decribe what happens when trying to take the call off hold.

problem persists and same problem exists with Hard Phone as well as Softphone. This problem did not manifest itself until g729 was disabled.

I will request more information from the user.

Resolved! Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

After some checking I discovered that although the time zone on the PBX was not set to America, rather to Tokyo, the PBX resided on www0.pbxes.com. When it was originally set up it was set up on one of the German Servers (17.195.32.11).

Sending the DIDs to 216.75.41.112 (www0.pbxes.com) and registering the devices to the same, took care of the problem.

previously 217.195.32.11 was used as DID destination and registrations. Now they use 216.75.41.112 and all is well.

I assume that at some point the time zone definitions for the servers were changed.
