In the following thread, Pascal eluded to the fact that the problem was the result of an extension and a ytrunk with the same name, however the elimination of this in itself did not solve the problem.
It was necessary to restart the PBX from the button at the bottom of the personal data page.
Closing the original thread does not allow other users to benefit from this bit of information, and that is what this forum is all about, is it not? I think it may be a bit wiser to leave the thread open and allow us to post our finding to better thwe experience for other users. Closing the thread can easily seem quite negative to a user.

The thread wasn't just closed. As you say it was linked to another thread. So all further postings on the subject should go the linked thread. Since there is no backlink from the other thread this is the only way people coming across one of these threads can find the answers.
That's why I am linking double postings and closing them as early as possible.
I think you well know by now that I highly respect you, and I feel you are a true innovator.
With that said how do you kbnow that two threads are the same issue, before investigating it further? It could be that at times someone can poorly articulate a point as I often do. That should not mean that one should make an immediate interpretation, rathjer let it develop.
