Hello,

I have just bought a Siemens Gigaset DE380 IP R phone.

My problem is that I can call somebody perfectly but I can't Answer phone calls even if the phone is ringing. If I answer the phone, on the other side it is continuing to ring and ends to the answering machine.

Here are the settings:

Hi Grabit,
I have posted a similar problem with a Linksys SPA (in miscellaneous). Symptoms sound similar, maybe the fix will be !

In order to eliminate the issue telagente00 is referring to, ensure there are no other SIP UAs on your LAN with 5060 as their SIP port.

If there are, ensure you change it on the DE380 under: Advanced Settings
SIP Port Number: 5070 (1..65535, default: 5060) Set it to 5070 and retry with a test call.

Also under Server Settings, I would setup the following as such:

Registrar Server: www[5].pbxes.com
Proxy Server: Empty

Note: remove the [] from number 5 before you enter the value.

I did the SIP port change and nothing new.

I then try to change registrar server and proxy server but proxy empty was not accepted. and with the www5 com server I had a connection error.

So nothing new in the sky.

I am not sure if anything else conflicts with this SIP UA on your LAN, and prevents it from working properly. But based on your initial report this is the most likely conclusion.

• Is the phone on a public IP to take a look at its' web interface?
• If it is behind a firewall, can you port forward its' web interface?
• Is there any other SIP UA running on your LAN?

I have open the web interface on the firewall. Email-me to have port number and IP address.

Yes we have 5 more SIP UA on our network and they are working well since the beginning.
