Extension monitoring Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I have VoIP in different locations (actually one in Belgium and one in Romania). It seems that now and then the phones (or the internet connect they use) disconnect the phone from the server.

Is there an interface available (SOAP? plain html) where I can obtain the status of the extensions (comparable to the green/grey overview on the Status page?

If I could somehow verify the connection status I could then send an email/sms if the VoIP phones get disconnected.
Usually it just takes me to unplug/plug them back into the mains to get them connected to the server again...

Tnx

Better understanding the requirement Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Allow me understand your challenge in a bit more detail, while asking a few questions along the way.

Currently, you mantain extensions in two different locations, and the connectivity is lost frequently in one of them. Once the connectivity is restored, the phones/ATAs don't re-register without a power reset. Have you checked if the phones re-register after a lengthy delay (e.g. 60 minutes), or is the reset required to save time?

Presumably, you are in the other location which does not suffer from connectivity issues, and would like to send an SMS so the phones can be manually reset. In what way the Status page does not fulfill that requirement?

Are you looking for an application which runs on a PC to fulfill this requirement? If so, how would this be more beneficial in comparison with the Status display in a browser?

If the above describes your requirements accurately, would something like the software in the link below, be able to fulfill what you have in mind?
