geschockt Keep getting calls from extensions 100, 200, 1000 Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

My extensions are all in the range 201-220 but I keep getting calls from extensions 100, 200, 1000 at odd hours of the night - multiple times. There's obviously no-one on the other side but it's an annoyance.

Have this behaviour on all our ATAs. Anyone else get this issue or have any remedy?

I'm a SOHO user.

Do you see these calls in PBXes Call Monitor? If yes, please give some examples with date and time.

If not somebody is calling you directly to your IP address.

There are no records of calls from those extensions in the Call Monitor.

Also, now am getting calls from 100 with the name "sipvicious"

I have the same problem as xpe. Do you have a solution?

Your phones are apparently under direct spybot attack.
You have multiple solutions to solve this problem:
- protect your phones with NAT system
- protect the phones directly by menu in security options
- don't use a public ip for the phones.
I strictly suggest the first solution, that is most secure at all.
This type of problem isn't attributed to pbxes!!
Roberto.

Thanks Roberto. I'm already behind a NAT system (no STUN server either). All I'm doing is running an ATA behind an Apple Airport Extreme router with 5060 TCP/UDP port forwarded.

I don;t use a public IP for the phones. I have 4 phones connected - all from different physical locations, all behind a NAT and all have the same exact problem.
