Gizmo Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

hi,
I have a Gizmo account and make a successful call on my Nokia E60 through PBXes and the quality of the sound is great. However, when I try to access my Gizmo account (it got a sip number) by using regular phone that dial the access number provided by Gizmo (I use 13239084167 for Los Angeles)and then enter my Gizmo sip number (1747xxxxxxx), the call always reaches the voice mail of Gizmo account. That means the system thought my account doesn't login. I saw the call monitor and found the call ID and the source are correct but the "Destination" is wrong not my original extension number and the "Context" said "ext-local." I can't explain why does the system have two different extension number that can't reaches my Gizmo account. How do I set up the config. of PBXes? If need more or clear info. plz tell me.
Thank you for your help.

To find out whether your E60 is not properly registered to PBXes or PBXes is not properly registered to Gizmo to receive calls you can do the following:

Activate voicemail on your PBXes extension. Then call your Gizmo number again and check if you hear PBXes voicemail.

It can also be that you are using a CODEC that gizmo, or the PSTN gateway does not support

wütend Nokia E61 Incoming calls- A pain please help Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I purchased an incoming authentic US DID from GIZMO.COM. I would like GIZMO and pbxes.com to work together and I heard that it works. Now I use my Nokia E61 (mobile phone- sip client) to make a SIP call on the SIP trunk to gizmo and it works. When I make an in coming call to the gizmo DID (when not logged in to gizmo account) I do see the call coming in to pbxes.com and I see activity on my Nokia E61 trunk but after rwo rings I hear "your call didn't go through".I should receive a SIP incoming call on nokia E61.when I am logged in to GIZMO account on PC then the call comes in to the GIZMO client on PC and I can pick up and talk. Please advise. Its important that it works. You can see all logs. It seems that PBXES.COM is not forwarding call to the SIP client on Nokia E61.PBXES is killing the call.

Again:

1- Now I configured my voice mail, saved my greetings like instructed on PBXES *77 AND 99. But when I call my extension from the E61 like 100@PBXESIPADDRESS. It goes to the generic voice mail. Can somebody explain please?

2- I can succesfully make and outgoing call using my Nokia E61 through PBXES.

3- Now when I make an incoming call to a valid GIZMO number, I see the call coming in to PBXES. I see the E61 side on PBXES (status page) go red. I can even see the callind ID of the calling number on the same page. Which cleary means that call is coming into to PBXES. After 2 rings in case of an incoming call I hear your call didn't go through please check the number".

I think the config is good. It needs to be debugged.

I WIL LREQUEST THE ip-tel SUPPORT PEOPLE NOT TO SEND ME ONE LINK COZ IT DOESN'T HELP. INSTEAD PLEASE CHECK YOUR LOG, DEBUG AND VERIFY MY CONFIG AS THE CALL IS COMING IN TO PBXES. SORRY FOR BEING REPETITIVE BUT ITS A PAIN.

Also comment are welcome from other users.

Don't panic. Assistance in realtime is offered in our shop.

1- Voicemail is configured by *97.

3- You have an inbound route that directs all incoming calls (overriding your correct settings in incoming calls) to a digital receptionist. Delete that route. If you still have problems please leave your phone registered to allow us to make a testcall from another extension.

OK thanks I won't panic.
As you advised I removed the inbound route. Now Instead of the message, there is a silence for 18-23 seconds and then the call is diverted to my voice mail.
I do see call coming in to the PBXES.

The strange thing is that my E61 becomes very slow after the incoming call. I have to reboot the handy to bring it out of the slow mode.

The trace confirmed a problem with your phone. Since you are using firmware rev. 3.x we suggest that you re-create your SIP profile (see http://www1.pbxes.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=1048) next.

It doesn't work. I created a new SIP profile, but phone still hangs. Check second call in my call monitor.

We traced another call. PBXes sends an INVITE. Your phone answers by "100 Trying". After this no more message is received. An "180 Ringing" would be expected.

Since there is no more reaction by the PBX required (between reception of Trying and Ringing messages) I guess the problem is located in the area of your phone.

What you could do is run a packet sniffer like Ethereal in your LAN to find out if there is another message from your phone that is somehow not coming through to PBXes.

The sniffer running on a PC will need to be connected to a hub, which in turn will need to be connected to the WiFi access point.

An all in one "modem/router/WiFi access point" will not allow you to trace the packets between the wireless segment of the network and the wired segment.
