Trunk Dial rules Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

I'm confused about the Dial Rule Field on the Trunk Screen.

I see the pop up explanation for Dial Rules but the two default rules already present:

b - Pref = "100", Pattern = "9(\*)([0-9]*).*", Replacement = "\1\2"
a - Pref = "200", Pattern = "9*", Replacement = ""

dont seem to follow the structure in the pop up. Do I just ignore these?

The first ones I was trying to create are: 1) a rule that adds a starting 1 if it isnt already there, and 2) a rule to delete any parentheses or dashes in the number since my DID provider rejects numbers containing them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have no idea where these rules come from. They are not the default and wrong syntax. So they will not have any effect at all.

Please delete them and follow the structure in the pop up.
