Issue with PBXes since few hours Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

We are facing some issues with pbx today. At times no incoming voice can be heard, sometime no outgoing voice is going out. Randomly facing this with random extensions

Also having difficulty opening the pbxes.com website

Please advise

• Did you experience increased latency connecting to the PBXes server you have your account on, today?
• Is it possible traffic was re-routed via a longer path then usual to the PBXes server you have your account on?
• Were extension to extension calls working properly?

It looks like there is some issue reaching pbxes from our ISP for some reason or if there is some issue at PBX end.

If i try to open www5.pbxes thats opening however www3pbxes isnt oepening on a web brower most of the times

Calling extension to extension outbound voice of the extension being called is total blank

Outside calls to numbers seems to be working fine at times,

Can you try and transfer to a different server if that helps?

PS: I am able to access the pbxes website with ease with our smaller bakup ISPs. So incase our Main ISP is blocking pbxes for some reason, do we have an alternate ip etc we can use to connect to pbxes website and in xlite settings?

This seems like a serious upstream network issue, but if you can reach the www5 PBXes server via an alternate provider, you can try routing your calls temporarily through them.

• If you do, are you still experiencing the issues you did via your main upstream provider?
• What is your main provider saying about this situation? When do they expect this issue to be resolved?

Hello,

It wont be possible to use alternate ones as they are unreliable connections and the main ISP is the one we use exclusively for voice (no browsing)

I did try to put the alternate host i found on your faq's somewhere, (188.40.65.14cool and calls seems to be working fine now for the time being.

Raised a ticket with ISP but they may or may not do anything about this....

Well, if you mention the IP or IPs you get from your main ISP, I might be able to trace the route back to them.

Assuming your account is either on www3 or www1 servers, here is the return path to your IPs.

traceroute to 202.56.xxx.xxx (202.56.xxx.xxx), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets
1 static.129.102.46.78.clients.your-server.de (78.46.102.129) 0.329 ms 0.293 ms 0.296 ms
2 hos-tr3.juniper3.rz4.hetzner.de (213.239.244.129) 0.689 ms 0.203 ms 0.238 ms
3 hos-bb1.juniper1.ffm.hetzner.de (213.239.240.224) 3.380 ms 3.399 ms 3.458 ms
4 hetzner-gw.noris.net (213.239.242.254) 3.830 ms 3.671 ms 3.622 ms
5 vl835-rt1-ldn1.core.noris.net (213.95.14.1) 15.732 ms 15.613 ms 15.690 ms
6 195.66.225.109 (195.66.225.109) 15.693 ms 15.757 ms 15.709 ms
7 AES-Static-150.36.144.59.airtel.in (59.144.36.150) 221.596 ms 221.479 ms 221.475 ms
8 203.101.100.213 (203.101.100.213) 208.998 ms 208.798 ms 208.898 ms
9 59.145.6.142 (59.145.6.142) 209.598 ms 209.338 ms 209.262 ms
10 202.56.xxx.xxx (202.56.xxx.xxx) 209.428 ms 209.307 ms 209.459 ms

A similar picture emerges if your account is on the other side, at the www2 server.

traceroute to 202.56.xxx.xxx (202.56.xxx.xxx), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets
1 71.6.135.1 (71.6.135.1) 0.428 ms 0.405 ms 0.391 ms
2 216.98.153.77 (216.98.153.77) 0.288 ms 0.261 ms 0.257 ms
3 te-3-2.car1.SanDiego1.Level3.net (4.53.120.33) 0.393 ms 0.469 ms 0.460 ms
4 ae-5-5.ebr1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.69.133.206) 3.557 ms 3.582 ms 3.443 ms
5 ae-3-80.edge1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.69.144.135) 3.537 ms
6 ae-4-90.edge1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.69.144.199) 3.236 ms
7 ae-1-60.edge1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.69.144.7) 3.435 ms
8 BHARTI-INFO.edge1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.78.196.26) 226.384 ms
9 BHARTI-INFO.edge1.LosAngeles1.Level3.net (4.78.196.30) 222.643 ms 222.804 ms
10 202.56.xxx.xxx (202.56.xxx.xxx) 259.312 ms 259.202 ms 259.407 ms

The hops are few, but the delay from either London or LA to India can't be avoided.

For now since we raised the ticket with our ISP things seem to be working fine although they have not confirmed any action on this yet.

We are monitoring this closely and will udpate you as the issue arise

Also if you could delete the above 2 posts with our public IPs

Thanks

Since the hops are few from each side, the ISP had a major issue on their international links. They were most probably aware of it, since they tend to actively monitor their links.

I am glad it's been resolved.
