Hi,
I am getting a lot of failed calls with either a SIP response 480 or no final SIP response at all in the log. PBXes plays the 'all circuits are busy' message for the SIP 480. I have checked that the dialled numbers are correct, and that the numbers answer when called from a mobile or landline.
I have changed the trunk provider from Voicetrading to Voipcheap but no difference.
Unfortunately I don't know when it started because it has only just been brought to my attention and the log only goes back a week. Possibly its been happening since 'go live'.
Any ideas ?

Is this message being heard when trying to place outgoing calls? If it is happening on every call or on every second or third call?

Let us know the FQDNs you are using in the "SIP server" field of your trunks.

Only outgoing calls, maybe 10% at most.
Using sip.voicetrading.com in sip server field.

The sip.voicetrading.com FQDN resolves into two IPs:

;; ANSWER SECTION:
sip.voicetrading.com. 883 IN A 194.120.0.198
sip.voicetrading.com. 883 IN A 194.221.62.198

So one of them should be having an issue routing certain calls. Are the failed calls concentrated at certain times of the day?

Seem to come in clusters,
today:
4 between 9 and 10am
4 between 1 and 3pm
4 between 4 and 5pm

Outgoing calls are pretty evenly spread over the day

Update
This issue seems to have disappeared of its own accord, I assume related to the trunk rather than the PBX.

Everything motoring very smoothly now, and all other issues and queries are resolved.
