Nokia & Codec Choice Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

OK I've been wondering for about 2 months how to set a specific codec on a Nokia e and n series. The only way was a OTA message but most providers are stopping this messages.

Finally I've got a solution for all nokia users that want to customize the codec and nat settings. Nokia realased a program to choose all the sip settings and it works very well!!!!
just search SIP Tools v1.1 on nokia forum.

ps: most providers firmware is blocking this program, as H3G and Vodafone so if you want to use you have to have nokia's original firmware....

Version clarification Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Post Report Post to a Moderator       IP Information Go to the top of this page

Thanks for the update on this issue.

Looking through the Nokia forum, I found these two links which point to the application and its' user guide respectively:

http://sw.nokia.com/id/d2d27e6c-bd52-453...ngs_v1_0_en.zip
http://sw.nokia.com/id/56b636ee-f2d9-4b9...ide_v1_0_en.pdf

The version of the application I found though, is 1.0 released on the 11th of October 2007. Is there a newer version which I might have missed?

You are right, this link: http://www.forum.nokia.com/info/sw.nokia...1_0_en.zip.html
is the leatest version,
however is not 1.0 but 1.01(0), just have a look in the application management - details
