Loosing Registration 30.04.2009 19:27 Forum: Providers

I added a new trunk that I purchased from a local provider on a really great deal. They reset the parameters so that I can push my own CID. When I register the system with the user name blank and under the password, I enter "PASSWORD:UserName," I can temporarily register and everything works great for an hour. WHen I drop the registration, it will not renew. I have to move my user name back into the user name section (losing the ability to push CID), register it, then move the use name back down after the password.

Any thoughts?

Comment Field 16.04.2009 17:51 Forum: Feature Requests

This is a simple feature request for the brain dead amongst us. I would love a comment field where I can note things that I have done so that myself or my partner don't make the same mistake twice (e.g. "don't even think about renaming this trunk").

I figured as much. Uplink is a good program, but NCH clearly is not giving it the support that it deserves. For one, one I had to downgrade my Skype to even get it to work. For two, they could easily create an IVR for Skype calls. Skype lets you assign to digit speed dial numbers to Skype contacts. You could easily modify this program to pass those numbers on.

Uplink <=> PBXes? 03.06.2008 01:28 Forum: Providers

I'm trying to set up a Skype to PBXes bridge using Uplink from NCH software. I can get the Bridge to work with good audio quality, EXCEPT that it will not accurately pass on touchtones. I've tried all tone settings. Any other suggestions?

Paypal bounced my subscription charge for reasons I don't understand, I have money in my account and a credit card registered as a secondary payment source.

The next retry is scheduled when I am out of town. I just purchased one hour of support time to cover this if e-bay screws up. If the payment goes through, I will use submit a support ticket to help with a caller-id issue, but consider this securing the 10 euros if something goes wrong with the scheduled transaction. I

You've stated my idea correctly. I was hoping other people out there might have helped conceive of this, but yes!

At minimum the resubmit button. Additionally, I'd like to be able to pull up as text files the log files. It gives you a clue about what is working and what isn't A callback button to a preregistered mobile might also be helpful. That number would then be an extension for purposes of changing system greetings and other issues.

This is a belated response. I've been pulling my remaining hair out of my head dealing with Microsoft's VOIP client built into Windows Mobile 6. I'll report back on that.

NCH out of Australia has a free SIP client. It is called Express Talk and can be downloaded at www.nch.com.au.

My best luck has been with the SIP client from fring. www.fring.com. My problem is that the interface is far more like an IM client and not particularly like a cell phone. You have to dig to find the SIP call control and then there is no keypad. You type the numbers into a little window. Notwithstanding this, the calls do work. I think the calls are sent through a Fring server because it feels like your calls are being transcoded.

What is the Deal With Betamax -- Are they Still Blocking US? 21.02.2008 14:26 Forum: Providers

I'm thinking of resigning up for a Betmax account because of its rates to a UK Mobiles (e.g. not part of its all you can eat stuff). Am I going to run into trouble with them connecting from a PBX account?

PDA Friendly Mini Control Page 21.02.2008 14:20 Forum: Feature Requests

It never fails. When I am out of the office, something goes down and I need to reset things. Many times it is simple as finding a place to get on the net and then going to client information and simply resubmitting. The problem is getting to the net.

It would great if you could do a PDA friendly page with a couple of the top command.s I have actually used my Nokia browser to reset things, but try doing this from the little screen on an E65. It is really not fun.

729 Setup 07.06.2007 15:13 Forum: Miscellaneous

I purchased a coupe of 729 licenses this morning. My wife is going on a job to India for a couple of weeks and we presume the bandwith in her hotel is not going to be wonderful.

I disabled the pass through on pbxes and on her soft phone I disabled all codecs besides 729. She can call internal functions such as echo test, but I cannot call outbound numbers. My carriers are primarily 711 but I presumed that pbxes was transcode everything for me.

What am I doing wrong?

Can you help me understand what you mean by "Your account will be limited to 2 simultaneous call(s) for any codec, not just G.729." MOst of my connections are on a T1 or a really good cable connection. I want a couple of licenses for use when we are on the road, using a mediocre hotel connection, etc. If I purchase two licenses, will this impact on the number of G711 connections my other lines can carry?

Best Way for Two Twinned Extensions 10.03.2007 03:51 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

I'd like to create a twin of my office extension at home so that I can not only answer the same call (e.g. ring group) but am also using the same voicemail. I've tried connecting two phones to the same account and password, but it seems that only one phone really wants to ring at a go, though both will make outgoing calls.

27.02.2007 12:40 Forum: Terminal Equipment

The problem happens on multiple networks and I can place internal calls, calls to mapped extension (e.g. extension 202 = +12125551212), receive internal all calls, get a dialtone by dialing a pin coded extension meant for trusted outside callers to use the net, etc.

I've deleted and rebuilt the extension on both the PDA and PBxes.com. The only thing I've been thinking is that I did have truphone on the unit and wonder whether they change some default settings at the Symbian equivalent of the registry level.

Odd E61 Problem 19.02.2007 12:37 Forum: Terminal Equipment

I have the strangest problem with my E61 now. After working perfectly for a while, it has decided that it will no longer dial outbound numbers. Inbound calls are fine, calls to extensions are fine, even calls to pstn numbers where I have mapped an extension number to the phone works, (e.g. Ext. 1234 rings my mobile). I've tried creating a special outbound route for the E61, but this doesn't help. Any ideas.
