Error loading configuration file variables1.txt?aldope= 04.07.2012 19:45 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hi,

None of my clients can connect by SIP today, plus "status" page within PBXes.org shows: " Error loading configuration file variables1.txt?aldope= "

Is there any problem?

Regards,

hkr

**** EDIT:
Problem seems to be with www1. Just transferred my account to www3, and it seems to work okay.

Oooh, format changed to 8 20.05.2011 18:26 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hi, I have a trunk from Gradwell. It is a SIP extension of their voip server.

When a call comes in on this trunk, the caller will only hear beep-beep-beep or simply gets disconnected.

In the pbxes.org log I see this:

May 20 19:16:23 VERBOSE[100594] chan_sip.c: Oooh, format changed to 8
May 20 19:16:24 VERBOSE[100594] chan_sip.c: Hangup call SIP/2028600-df49, SIP callid 25706de614a1696f2dcf1eca@195.74.61.16

What is this format changed to 8 problem and what can I do to avoid it?

I keep deleting all personal data when exiting from Firefox... and in fact I use several PCs to access the site... I will check if I can set flas off with this domain. Never tried that.

Silent website :) 21.06.2008 15:46 Forum: Feature Requests

Hi,

Not a feature request indeed, but an maybe a comment worth considering.

The only thing I do not like about the excellent PBXes service is the ring-tone sounds when coming on the website smile I usually forget to mute the speakers before coming to PBXes, and it starts ringing quite loud, even when family is sleeping in the same room.. Yes, I know there is a mute link on the homepage, but it is normally too late: the ringtones on the site are way too obtrusive smile

It must have been the phone... I restored a backup of a few minutes earlier to the phone and problem was gone... Don't ask me what caused the problem though... No idea.

Everything went fine, until today (it may have happened a few days ago, but I only realized it today.)

Now if there is an incoming call to my Nokia extension, I immediately see on the phone that there was an incoming missed call.... The caller hears busy, and the PBXes log shows that my phone sent a "486 busy" signal.

Has there been a change at PBXes somewhere or something happened to my phone?

The interesting thing is that after I took the phone to Nokia Service center for firmware update, there is no more "doesnt disconnect" issue, however, apparently the firmware itself is the same version.... I guess Nokia changed some software components on my unit to solve the issue, but it is not the firmware...

Soho-subscribers get only 1 callback.

That's exactly what I have done smile

However, it is the fact that partial CID-matching does not work that I put this thread into the "Feature requests" category :-) Partial CID-matching would be useful for a lot of purposes, just to name a few:

a) route calls according caller: eg. if call comes from a UK number triggers an English language menu, while a Hungarian CID triggers Hungarian menu

b) if company has a range of numbers, partial matching would allow them to reach an internal menu easily

c) no separate DID per callback would be necessary

d) some little security before callback but still be flexible enough

Hi,

I have tried both * and . as wildcards: no luck.

With * , pbxes will say ïnvalid characters", with . it accepts it, but will not match eventually.

As for a dial-through I could put in several inbound rules, but if I want to use this for callback, it is impossible, as I can only have one callback rule on the system...

The idea is to use the callback function to ring my roaming SIM, and thus avoid high charges when placing calls abroad.

Partial CID match in Inbound routes 11.05.2008 11:50 Forum: Feature Requests

Hi,

I have just realized that the incoming CID is not always the same with my mobile... It depends on whether I use the home network to originate the call, or if I am roaming, and soetimes it even depends on the trunk on which the call comes in... It is normally the prefix which is sometimes changed, the major part of the number is relatively constant..

For intance, if my mobile number is +3670XXXXXXX then I sometimes see 3670XXXXXXX, sometimes 0670XXXXXXX, sometimes 003670XXXXXXX, so it would be loigical to match incoming calls like *70XXXXXXX , where the asterisk could be anything... As far as I know, mobile phones normally match CID against the contact list based upon the last 7 characters for the same reason. Is something similar possible with PBXes?

Bingo!

Thanks for the help. It does work now.

But... There are is a little problem:

My main DID comes in via sip forward at sip:perfectum@pbxes.org, so there is no trunk assigned to it. How can I assign a "default" trunk which does not have to register with any provider? I want to set up inbound routes based on incoming CID and it seems that the trunk name is not optional...

I want to take direct sip-in calls to some of my extensions. I have set up incoming route to ext 201, but it still does not work.

sip:perfectum@pbxes.org is fine, sip:perfectum-201@pbxes.org is dead...

Upon your advice I visited a Nokia service center. They upgraded my firmware, but it is the same version number as it was before the intervention... They say 100.34.20 is the latest fw version... Hmmm. My friend google tells me that the version you mention is not an official version and is Vodafone-specific???

I will try again if anything changed with this 2 hour service visit...

Hello,

Thanks for the tip.

Weird. If I set connectioncheck off, the other party will not be put on hold (no music), and my Nokia does not get ringbacks after I hangup.

However: the other party does NOT get disconnected, he also has to hangup on his side...

If connectioncheck is on, I simply cannot disconnect: the red button always just puts the the other party on hold, and my phone will ring back several times. If on each ringback I deny the call (red button) sooner or later it will stop. But it takes 3-4 (have not yet counted) ringbacks, which is quite annoying...

Mobile extension doesnt disconnect? 04.05.2008 13:43 Forum: Terminal Equipment

Hello,

I have laid my hands on a Nokia E51, which registers nicely with PBXes. I set the extension parameters to "mobile" and "connection check".

I place a call using the Nokia handset, I get connected fine and call quality is great. Then when all is said, I want to hangup....
I press the red key on the phone... The other party will hear something like "please hold while I try to connect that extension" , then hears the on-hold-music... A few seconds later PBXes rings my Nokia... If I decline call, it will ring via GSM...

Any way to sort this?
