Ghost System Recording over riding any join announcement selection for Queues 03.03.2013 17:12 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

I have always had 1 Queue that has always used the 1 recording as a "join announcement". I now tried to set 2 more queues up each with a different Join Announcement from the system recordings.

It seems no matter what i upload or record as a system recording or the name applied, no matter what selection I make in the Queue I always get the same old recording playing to the caller of that Queue.

I have tried so much as to delete every System Recording that is shown and record a new simple test recording through the handset, again when selected as the join announcement for a Queue, the Queue will play the old recording that is no longer shown.

It is as if a copy of this old recording has been stored in the system with a over ride all setting and yet is not visible in the setup panel.

For the moment I have had to remove all Join Announcements from all queues, I suspect PBXES admin will have to remove this rouge recording from there access level before I can achieve normal use of this function.

Unless I have completely missed something???

RE: Maintenance www2 13.11.2010 11:01 Forum: Bugs

wow, this is the first ongoing outage ive noticed since I setup with pbxes which is a good record and I was loving the reliability, I suppose im lucky this is only a Saturday here.
But no phones is a business killer. I dint even get a "Network Outage Notification" this time, Im worried about the effects if this happens during a work day.

Any update available on when we will by up and running again?

Local Server: Australia 26.09.2010 17:13 Forum: Feature Requests

Im sure this is just dreaming, but I would love to have access to a local pbxes Server in Australia....

I love having this hosted pbx service available to me, it does everything I need with good reliability, except recording. The closest server is half a world away(Im in Australia and default to the Seattle Server, Ive tried the Tokyo server but still too far) The delay is so bad the only option is to use the audio bypass, but then no option for recording unless I use a soft phone on the laptop.

BTW, I really love this service, I could never justify setting up my own pbx(or risk the unreliability of my own setup) and the only hosted pbx options locally are overpriced, under featured and generally run by service providers that tie you to there flavor of handsets and worst, tie you to them for all your lines.

Any chance of a server down here?

RE: Ringing "On Hold Music" for queue 26.09.2010 16:52 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

Ive read the threads on the issue here but didn't quite get a solution from them, and scoured the internet looking for a ringing sound file which I expected would be common but no luck finding such a common sound for some reason?

I using queues for directing incoming calls to ring multiple internal lines hence my preference for a ringing sound to be played to the caller rather than the confusion generated for callers to my personal line having it instantly pick up and start playing music until I answer or not and go through to voice mail from being on hold. Because this is unusual people seem to think something went wrong.

For now I put a ring group and this is perfect, I never tried them before so it seems my mistake was trying to use a queue for the functionality I found there when a ring group does exactly the same job for me in ringing on multiple lines but provides a normal user experience for the caller with a ringing line that is not answeared untill me or voicemail pickup.

Thanks for the suggestion bazmercer, only wish I tried these forums years ago now.

Ringing "On Hold Music" for queue 24.09.2010 03:45 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

instead of a single extension (deskphone) for my personal line i want to use a queue to ring my office phone, my home office phone and my mobile sequentially. If no answear on any line the call will go to voicemail.

Is there a way I can set this up with the regular ringing sound played to the caller as per a regular call to a direct line rather than instantly start playing some horrible music and confuse the people calling?

I cant seem to find a audio file for a normal ringing sound that i could set as on hold music anywhere.
