routing to classical extensions not working anymore 26.11.2013 13:05 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

Hi

This is the second time I ask this question. Hope someone from the support team can answer this:

I have several classical extensions configured to which calls can be forwarded. Both by the digital receptionist or if no answer.

I noticed that this functionality has suddenly stopped working while I have changed nothing in the configuration. All routings to classical extensions trigger the system answer that the destination cannot be dialed. No matter if the routing was dialed by the digital receptionist or direct from the incoming routing settings. The system log gives the following error:
app_dial.c: Unable to create channel of type '' (cause 66 - Channel not implemented)

The extensions itself seem to be working fine as I can dial them direcly with their extenion number? What can be the reason of this error?

Regards
Fred

After 2 years trunk is not registering anymore 04.06.2009 20:42 Forum: Providers

Hi

After 2 years of almost flawless operation my trunks at sip.xs4all.nl are not registering anymore. This is going on for several days now. I tested the settings of the provider with an X-lite client on my computer and this is registering fine, so url, username and password setting at the site of the provider are unchanged.

What can be the sudden reason that PBXes is not registering anymore? My budgetphone trunk is still working fine...

22.08.2007 07:41 Forum: Bugs

Thx, that's working now.

But it's strange. I have two accounts at PBXes. fredvasse is my personal phonebox and immix is our business account. fredvasse works fine now.
However 'immix' can still not log on because it's on the www.5 server.
In this immix account the trunks seem still not registered because I can not receive calls on the attached DID. This got me thinking. Both accounts use the same ADSL provider XS4all.nl, which is also the Voip provider. It has worked almost flawless for almost a year, and suddenly all trafic between PBXes and XS4all (my own internet traffic and the voip trunks at sip.xs4all.nl) stopped working. Maybe they have blocked your www5 IP?

I will drop them a mail, but in the mean time, could you move over the immix account as well?

Thanks in advance

new try with correct url's 21.08.2007 21:05 Forum: Bugs

Well there should be something... I can still not reach www5 server.
When I point my browser to www0 server at pbxes .com I can get your homepage and can post messages in the forum, but when I try to login it redirects to the www5 server and will time-out. I have two accounts on this server and both accounts can not receive incoming or outgoing calls since today. The trunks seem not be working anymore... The Voip providers itself seems okay because when I configure a soft client to connect directly to the provider I can receive calls on the DID's that I have at those providers. Because of the fact that I cannot login, I cannot check status at PBXes.

Strange thing is that all phone extensions are registering fine, they also can call each other internal. The phones, one Nokia E-60 and a fritzbox are configured to register at pbxes .org domain, so it looks the culprit is really www5...

I tried pinging the IP nr. of www5 which should be 88.191.27.122, but no luck. pinging to www0 or pbxes at .org domain works fine.

Hope you can trace it, my company was badly reachable today ;-(

PBXES down !!! 21.08.2007 15:54 Forum: Bugs

Hi

Since this morning PBXes is down.
I cannot reach the normal URL pbxes.com, only the server at www0.pbxes.com. The server where my account lives at www5.pbxes.com is also not responding. Worse is that my phones are not working either.

What's wrong?

Can you verify if the number is still available? Otherwise I would like to request another DID on our other account at PBXes...

DID not available after payment 01.07.2007 17:42 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hi

I received a mail today that my premium account had been disabled due to failed payment.
It seemed that Paypal was still using my old creditcard. After correcting this and paying the bill, my premium account was restored and all settings were back at normal.
However, the DID I purchased from IP-tel is still disconnected. Very annoying because it's the main inbound route!

Can IP-tel not give the customer a warning prior to disabling an account. Creditcards do expire every four years. And I don't like being disconnected in such a harsh way...

Being a good customer, I hope every thing will be back to normal as soon as possible?

difference between authentication realm and user name 21.06.2007 11:54 Forum: Providers

Hi

I tried to add budgetphone as a trunk, but it won't register. In the F.A.Q. on their site they explain that Asterisk users should use budgetphone.nl for authentication realm and sip.budgetphone.nl for user URI. I noticed on some sip clients like the Nokia E60 that the config talks about users en realms. But on PBXes, when adding a trunk, one can only set a username? Is there a way to change this?

According to the F.a.Q. of budgetphone the registration rule in Asterisk should read like this: register =><telefoonnr>@budgetphone.nl:<password>:<telefoonnr>@sip.budgetphone.nl

Or use srvlookup: register => 31
nummer@budgetphone.nl:wachtwoord:31nummer:abcd1234@sip.budgetphone.nl

Thanks for the quick reply.

Do I need to reset something to activiate the changes you made?
I still have some German labels, default duration of 1 hour for newly planned calls and no HTML email.

I suppose there has been an update of some sort of the software bcause I changed the name of some labels and tabs and added some extra fields in Studio, but those are all now reset to the default. Does this mean that every time there will be an update those changes will be lost?

Feedback PBXes PRO beta 16.06.2007 20:56 Forum: PBXes PRO

Long post!

After several weeks of intensive use of PBXes PRO beta, I would like to share some experiences and requests.

First of all, we really like the power of this system and certainly want to use it for our company when it becomes an official feature.
I only hope that you get enough feedback to make it a very usable system.

My company is into publishing (print and web). It is mostly a virtual company with free-lance coworkers around the world. So a SIP based PBX together with CRM functionality is exactly what we need.

Projects and Tasks
Our work is mostly project based. I created a project for every publication that's in production. Within the project we then create Project Tasks assigned to several coworkers. That's a nice approach. The person in charge of this task plans calls, writes emails and notes. But it is strange that one can also create notes, emails and meetings attached to the project itself. For people that are not very familiar with the system it is very confusing.

In my opinion the project itself should just be a screen with subpanels for Projects Tasks, Opportunities and Accounts. People working on the project should work from within Project Tasks. They should be able to attach contacts, notes, emails and meetings to this task.
The project owner should have a History view in the main project screen to overview all activities within the project. It would also be nice if the project Tasks would be visible in the Calendar screen. Now one has only the Tasks in sight.

Speaking of Tasks. The difference between Tasks and Project Tasks is not clear to everybody. When creating an ordinary Task and attach it to a project during creation, it becomes a Project Task in the Projects view, but it remains a normal Task it the Home and Calendar view. Very confusing.

Opportunities
The Opportunity module is very good to track all communication with our potential advertisers. I would also like to see how much turnover on a certain project is in the pipeline. It would be great if this module had the possibility to attach it to a project to show a pipeline per project. Although the opportunity itself can attached to the project, but it won't show the different projects in Dashboard.
Personally I also would like to have a module to track down the costs that I expect for a certain project the same way as Opportunities.

Email
The email option is very good, We make connection to our IMAP server. It's very nice to attach an email to a project, task or whatever activity. Sadly this can only be done from within the email module itself. One has to open the email to read it. Only from that window it can be attached to a certain Project and Task. It would be nice if one could browse the email list from within a Project window to select a certain email to attach.

Furthermore it would be nice if there would be an option to automatically retrieve new mail from the server.
There's also problem when the module tries to retrieve unread email that's older than a day. It then won't retrieve several mails but some others will. I suspect this has to do with dates not being interpreted right?

On outgoing email we can not use HTML email. It shows an empty, non editable field. One has to uncheck the 'Send HTML Email' option to get an editable field for the body text.

Calendar
The calendar shows Meetings, Calls and Tasks, but not Project Tasks. (Again this discrepancy between Tasks and Project Tasks...) Feature request: It would be really nice if there was an option to synchronise the Calender with a mobile phone or palmtop...

Activities
This is of course why a webbased PBX and CRM is so cool. The call list is great to see which scheduled calls are made and wich inbound calls there have been. It's a pity the list can not be sorted by date and time together. If one sorts the date column, the time column is random. Depending on the module or subpanel from which a call is being scheduled, the default duration pop-up is set 0.15 or 1.00 hour. 1 hour is not so realistic for a phone call. People often forget to change this and then it shows up twice in the calendar view for the start and the end hour. Please, set the default to 0.15 h...

Bugs
On several subpanels there is a mix of English and German labels - For instance on 'Saved Search' and the Email list.

Questions
Not clear to me is how Group Users are being used. They cannot login, I read somewhere that they can assign tasks via email?
Same for Group Email. I suspect that this can be a company account that's distributed to every user?

Wishes
The design and layout of the system are very nice. But every module looks the same. It would be nice if the user had the possibility to change the look of different modules to have a visual indication of what you're working with. Most people will use this interface while simultaneous speaking with someone on the phone. Mistakes are quickly made...

Studio
The Studio option to tailor the system to your own needs is great. It's only a pity one cannot edit which subpanels should be attached to a certain module.

Conclusion
Hope this feedback helps to make this already great tool even better. Can you tell me when PBXes will offer it as a final service and what the costs will be?

Strange! nokia e-60 keeps ringing 10.06.2007 15:40 Forum: Miscellaneous

One small other problem when testing today.

I have a ring group with 2 extensions. One of them is my Nokia. The 'destination if not available' is set to voicemail. When I was testing this by not picking up any of of the extensions, I noticed that sometimes the Nokia creates a ringtone that's going on forever. I mean, the Nokia stops ringing after the specified time-out, but the party that initiates the call keeps hearing the ringtone.

But the strange thing is that seconds later I receive a voicemail in my email. It seems that allthough the Nokia extension keeps on creating a ringtone, the system has forwarded the call to the mailbox as it should. I have tested this and sure that's the case. While the calling party is hearing the ringtone he can also talk in his device and this will be recorded in the voicemail. So it looks like the ringing signal is not routed to voicemail but the voice channel is routed as specified?

Very confusing?

Fred

No, it's much worse now!

The site is barely usable now. Half the time the images will even not load and almost after every click on a link the browser is complaining about connection time-outs. So, please move it back...

Last week on your other server i have tested ping timings. average was around 175 ms.

On this new location www0.pbxes.com, the ping times are the same but browsing is much, much worse... What creates the difference?

I have a medium fast ADSL connection with a max. downstream of 4000 Kbits/per second and upstream of 1000 Kbits per second. When I use the speedtest of my provider I have an effective downstream of 3401 Kbit.

All other connections are fast:

www.xs4all.nl (my provider) ping average 14 ms
www. wikipedia.com ping average 14 ms
www.google.com ping average 18 ms
Testing my internet connection to some other (Germany based) sites.
www.voipbuster.com ping average 22 ms
www.sipgate.de ping average 23 ms
www.voipstunt.com ping average 26 ms
www.nokia.de ping average 18 ms

Somehow the reaction times of your server are quite slow?

Thx

Outbound and incoming calls do work now, very cool feature that one can attach held calls onto projects or leads...

However, I have been using the Pro system for several day's now. A system like this can only work if one is using it all day. My work is mainly project based and with this I can track, plan and manage calls, notes and emails, and maintain all kind of relations between them. But, I noticed that the reaction times are sometimes very slow when using it extensively, and connection time-outs happening very often. This is annoying if one is on the phone and in the mean time wants to look-up or write down some information about the call. Is your server not able to handle it yet? or is it the PHP modules that's known for not being the fastest for this type of intensive online work?

Please don't understand me wrong. I,am currently testing this because I would like to use this system for my company...

Thanks

After a reset of the PBX, I get inbound calls in the activities.
Outbound is not showing up...

Add invitees is working now, but not with every browser. Firefox works, Opera not. (I,am on a Mac)

I noticed a possibele wrong relationship in the Projects Module. When in Detailview the subpanels below show tabs for 'marketing', 'sales', etc. When clicking on the tab 'Tasks' it shows Contacts instead of Tasks.

But I really start to like this stuff...
