RE: Google Voice as SIP Provider 05.04.2019 16:06 Forum: News

azg,

Thanks so much. I was so close. I was using spx(userid-990) and when I changed to your spx(userid-990@pbxes.com), everything worked perfectly. The call logs shows userid-990 without the @pbxes.com so I didn't understand why it wasn't matching.

Just to confirm, I am using sub-pbx without a trunk. Using this solution people can still use google voice as a trunk of PBXes, they just need to use an Obi2xx box with 2 available SP slots. And since you are using an Obi2xx you are not violating any terms of service (IMHO).

Thanks again azg!

RE: Google Voice as SIP Provider 01.04.2019 14:36 Forum: News

Thanks for the hints azg. I got the Obi202 to register with pbxes.org, and I am able to make outgoing calls, but inbound calls don't work and give the following error messages:

Do I need to make a trunk? Currently I using the name of the sub-pbx as the trunk name in the inbound call route. I have also tried the GV caller id number as the trunk name. Any further hints are welcome.

RE: caller id on forwarded calls 28.03.2019 15:34 Forum: Miscellaneous

I see it listed as FAQ # 7. The advice was to find a provider that forwards caller ID. It also said to check the forum for more information. The link references threadid 166, but the link does not work. I don't know if I can search by thread id or not, but in general I am not impressed with the search feature of burning board lite.

caller id on forwarded calls 27.03.2019 14:35 Forum: Miscellaneous

I have one extension configured to forward to cell phone after 5 seconds. When the call is forwarded, the caller id on the cell phone shows the work phone number instead of the original caller id. Is it possible to pass thru the original caller id on the forwarded call?

There is a post on another forum about using an Obi200 as an ITSP for an asterisk server. I wonder if this is possible with PBXes? The post usts JPSIP instead of SIP, so that may be a problem.

2 SOHO subscriptions for the same account 13.02.2019 16:10 Forum: Miscellaneous

I was using the monthly subscription option, and once everyone was happy with it I added an annual paypal subscription, but it didn't occur to me at the time to cancel the monthly paypal subscription. So it looks like I just paid for another month when already have the annual subscription.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you know if the extra monthly payment will extent out my annual subscription, or did I just loose that money? I don't see a way to find out how many months I have left in my subscription.

For simple questions like this I should be able to email support without having to pay Euro 15 for a block of support.

I could not get the webcall to work either. From my softphone (csipsimple) I could call my work # fine, but when I tried a webcall using my work number, it failed with "congestion".

modify outgoing caller id 15.10.2018 20:16 Forum: Providers

I have a google voice trunk number 774-xxx-xxxx and a main number 203-xxx-xxxx and I would like outgoing calls made from the google voice number to show callerid 203-xxx-xxxx instead of 774-xxx-xxxx. I tried making the change to the caller id field in the trunk setting and/or in the extension settings, but no combination has any effect. I always see the 774-xxx-xxxx number when I call myself using the google voice number. Anyone hav any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance.
