RE: PAP2T "can't connect to login server" 24.10.2011 23:12 Forum: Terminal Equipment

I currently have a softphone working fine as well as sipdroid working on my phone. This PAP2T is the only thing giving me fits.

PAP2T "can't connect to login server" 15.10.2011 01:20 Forum: Terminal Equipment

Sometime ago, I setup my PAP2T with pbxes without a problem. I was able to make calls and do all the stuff I wanted to do. Now, it will not connect. I have it setup on line 2 of pap2t, where line 1 works just fine with a direct connection to a provider. Line 2, the one I want to register to the extension as before, does not work and gives me the above error. i have tried many things with trial and error but have run out of ideas.

I read through these forums and tried the various suggestions from other posts and different SIP ports. Still, no luck with this extension for line 2. I am using a linksys router with DD-WRT and have been the entire time; nothing has changed.

I can send some print screens if that will help.

It is no longer an issue as I had the number ported over. It is worth noting that I did check the call monitor at the time and the calls made it in but never through. Now that I ported it over, I have no problems.

callthru or callback? 16.09.2011 01:03 Forum: Miscellaneous

I simply want to make a call from my extensions with whatever extra steps are necessary to use the unlimited INBOUND minutes of my trunk. Is this possible?

I am trying to utilize the callback and callthru features, but I am confused between the use of the two. I have an unlimited plan for incoming calls that I would like to use for calling out. Do I use callback or call through? Also, how do I use the feature with a softphone registered with the same pbx as extension? I know callback works when tested with my cell phone and callthru works when tested from other numbers. However, it does not quite meet the stated goal at least as far as I can tell.

Suggestions? Help? Explanation of the different uses of callback and callthru?

GV not forwarding 24.08.2011 21:46 Forum: Miscellaneous

Google Voice does not forward calls to my PBX any longer. I know inbound calls work since my paid Callcentric calls work as I intended. However, for some reason, I cannot get my GV trunk to work in the PBX. For a while, it would ring and ring then say "extension 200" is not available. This caused me some confusion because I did not have an extension 200. In Google Voice, I tied forwarding it to my other number at Callcentric and forwarding with the chat. Still, nothing worked and I got that same message or it went straight to my Google Voice mail. I have generic inbound route and tried a specific GTALK inbound route as well. Still, no luck. Any ideas?

Once I have the Google trunk setup, should I do a specific inbound route? Is the name for that one my whole login? I mean should it be "myname@gmail.com" or just "ajtabak@gmail"? What settings or things should I look for in Googe Voice? Google Chat? What other specific settings should I modify?

I appreciate the insight.

I admit I have been slow in responding but I am happy to report that that the default codes in the PAP2T were the issue. I eliminated or changed the various ones that I needed for calling into the PBX (i.e. *77 and #9cool and then all worked well. I can now dial into the PBX to check voice mail etc.

Thank you for the reply. Not wanting to be one of those annoying help seekers, I read that post and reviewed that sight before posting my query. I copied that dial plan into my PAP2T, but the problem still persists. Any other ideas?

Also, any ideas on the callthru question?

dialing the PBX from PAP2T and a callthru question 17.08.2011 23:12 Forum: Miscellaneous

I have setup extension 250 as a line that goes to the PAP2T on my SOHO account. It makes calls just fine and receives them without a problem even from extension to extension. However, when I dial *77 or something like that to access the PBX in order to check my voice mail or make a system recording, it just gives me the dial tone again. Also, when I call out on the phone, there is a delay that I get around by pressing "#". Is there a way to fix this? How? Is this a dial plan issue?

Next, I have a question about a call thru, unrelated the above question. I setup an inbound route to recognize a certain number and assigned a PIN to make out going calls from the PBX. What I want to do next is specify which trunk it goes out on so as to specify the caller ID shown and use a certain rate plan. Can I put the phone number calling as the extension? How can I accomplish this? Custom dial plan?

Thus far, I have been having pretty good luck using the PBX and like it quite a bit. If I can just get these issues fixed, I will be even happier.

Thanks/

static and hangup after transfer from digital receptionist 08.08.2011 23:22 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

I setup my pbx using my google voice trunk. Thus far, I am able to make calls without a problem and can receive them when not using the digital receptionist.

However, I encounter a problem when using the receptionist. After pressing the appropriate option to transfer to an extension, I hear a terrible static noise and the call disconnects after a few seconds. I have been testing it from a landline with the call routed to a softphone that works fine for making calls. I have it set to go directly to voicemail now but would like to use this feature.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Aug 17, 2011 EDIT: I noticed that I got no response from anyone and was deafened by the silence so I did some trial and error work over a couple of days. The solution was simple. I quit using the google trunk and now use the callcentric trunk. Once I made the switch, the problem vanished
