RE: How to cancel and remove Soho account? 19.02.2015 20:12 Forum: Miscellaneous

I also have a SOHO account, but no longer have need of PBXES service. I checked my two Paypal accounts and can't find any history of payment searching for "i-p-tel GmbH".

The account that I believe I used has many thousands of transactions per year, so I might need the actual email address to find the transactions.

Google Voice Trunks not working, Encryption Failure 29.01.2013 17:33 Forum: Bugs

Been enjoying the GV Peering happily for ~2 years now, thx!

However, 2-3w ago it has stopped working. I have 5 extensions (using 4 different GV trunks) and the trunks have all stopped working.

Calls out give the "cannot-complete-as-dialed" error. (system log messages# 20956-20970 demonstrate a failed call.)

Calls to any GV # just ring 20-30 seconds then to VM.

GV credentials are entered as user@gmail.com, passwords have not changed. 3 accounts @gmail, 1 account is a non-gmail, google account.

I re-entered credentials for my GV trunk and log shows the following...
code:

Jan 24 10:59:34 NOTICE[113336] cdr.c: CDR simple logging enabled.
Jan 24 10:59:34 NOTICE[113336] config.c: Registered Config Engine mysql
Jan 24 10:59:34 NOTICE[113336] cdr_addon_mysql.c: MySQL database table not specified. Assuming "cdr"
Jan 24 10:59:39 NOTICE[74051] cdr.c: CDR simple logging enabled.
Jan 24 10:59:39 NOTICE[74051] config.c: Registered Config Engine mysql
Jan 24 10:59:39 NOTICE[74051] cdr_addon_mysql.c: MySQL database table not specified. Assuming "cdr"
Jan 24 10:59:44 NOTICE[74057] res_jabber.c: JABBER: encryption failure. possible bad password.

Forum search for "encryption failure" only returned this thread, but I couldn't find which page mentioned it!

My IM clients still connect to GTalk OK...

Calls between extensions still works fine

Any help is appreciated!

****UPDATE:
Why can't I reply in my own thread? I've got new info that might resolve this... it belongs in a new post.

Another vote for IAX trunk support! Any chance that this is even a consideration?

RE: Submit and Start 03.10.2011 14:56 Forum: Bugs

The way I spot the problem is that my phone stops working! I may get suspicious if I haven't gotten a phone call in a while or someone calls me on another number and says they couldn't reach me via the SIP phone.

The other way I find out or confirm it's not working is to make a phone call. If it's not working, SipDroid will say, "dialing", but no matter how long I wait the call never connects. If I hang up and try again, same thing. If I reboot and try again, same thing.

After I "Submit & Start" it is immediately fixed.

RE: Submit and Start 27.09.2011 21:19 Forum: Bugs

I don't know if I should be starting my own thread for this, but for as long as I've been using PBXes, I've had to "Submit & Start" 1-3 times a month to get my service working.

I have not noticed any discernable pattern as to what is causing my service to pause. It will be working all day and then on my next call, Sipdroid will just hang indefinitely with the call never going through.

I pretty much never want my account to not work, so is there something I can do to make my account permanently "submitted" and always "started"?

RE: Simple GV-PBXes-Sipdroid guide requested 15.06.2011 16:20 Forum: Miscellaneous

I guess I don't know. As far as I can tell, it should be done correctly. My two extensions can call eachother (from two different phones.)

However, when trying to use the GV trunk I get an operator message on outbound calls and inbound calls are never received by the app, with the caller just hearing rings until the VM picks it up.

When I tried to check my GV trunk settings, it gave me, "pbxes db error no such table". Which seems a likely source of the problem.

On another note, can you give an approximate timeline for when the free account path will be opened back up? (to recommend to friends/family) If it's not going to be, will you consider creating a 1-step signup process from sipdroid for paid accounts?

traurig Simple GV-PBXes-Sipdroid guide requested 11.06.2011 17:07 Forum: Miscellaneous

I have been waiting since February for the free PBXes account option to be turned back on (which was supposed to happen in May.)

However, it's not because, I'm unwilling to pay $5/ month for a valuable service, I certainly am! I just didn't want to fight through the maze of conflicting, outdated, and partially relevant guides that I'm otherwise left with to set this up!

Is there somewhere a single, concise and accurate guide on how to get Google Voice, PBXes, and Sipdroid set up and working together?

I finally gave in, waited 3 days to get a SoHo account and have now been getting really frustrated the last two hours trying to make this work!

PBXes is $5 /month for all the minutes I could want to use, but to save my sanity I could just pay my carrier $15 for more minutes! ... If PBXes will provide the information in a simple way, I'll stay a subscriber and refer 4 of my family members who are all currently in need of more minutes!

I'm very frustrated with this, please don't respond with a guide if it's incomplete, outdated or doesn't actually do what's requested... unglücklich

It really seems like PBXes support dedicates twice as much time to creating unnecessarily complex situations to ding customers for $15 than it does on actually providing support.
