RE: Google Voice as SIP Provider 06.04.2019 00:56 Forum: News

Glad you got it working. Just to further explain the Sub-PBX, when you send something to the Sub-PBX, it's considered an outbound call. When you do this: spx(18005551212) you can send the number to a PBXes trunk using an outbound route. You can do this spx(100) to ring an extension or spx(1) to trigger a Ring Group. The problem with this method is you can't pass the original inbound callerid from GV. Maybe there is a way, but I don't know how.

nor,

Sorry for my delayed response, I don't check this forum very often. Maybe you already have this fixed.

Don't use the Sub-PBX number. Use a number unrelated to anything. For example if your Sub-PBX is userid-900, use userid-990. You probably can use the Sub-PBX number. I haven't used Sub-PBXes for years, so I'm not sure. I'm currently routing calls to a number unrelated to anything and it works. You just need a matching inbound route.

Your OBi202 X_InboundCallRoute will look like this:
spx(userid-990@pbxes.com)

spx is where you have the Sub-PBX defined.

Do the following so the inbound callerid will be passed to PBXes.

Service Providers - ITSP Profile x SIP - X_SpoofCallerID: Checked

Profile x is the one related to the Sub-PBX.

Define a sub-pbx to route outbound calls to the OBi200.

Send inbound directly to PBXes as pbxesuserid-xxx@pbxes.com
then define an inbound route for pbxesuserid-xxx

Re: Google Voice Acceptable Use Policy

Google is not happy the Asterisk community has reverse engineered GVSIP. Is PBXes.com also violating Google's policy? Should we be worried?

GV seems to be working again. After doing a Submit & Start I successfully made a couple 2 minute calls. Still not getting ringback on some numbers.

Yes, calls continue to ring when hanging up before the call was connected. This is the only known bug.

The fix for no hang-up by Bill Simon:
You need to CANCEL using the same Route: headers that you INVITE'd with. I had the same bug in my implementation. CANCEL is a new request (not a reply) which is why the method in CSeq changes.

There is also a problem with no ringback when calling another GV number. I believe the folks at DSLReports determined that it's a Google bug, but I can't find that post. The discussion starts here:

OBi devices have ringback when calling another GV number.

I have a problem with outbound. When I call a number and hang up before it's answered, the called phone continues to ring. I called my landline and hung up after 1 ring. The phone rang a total of 4 times and then went to voicemail. I don't know how long it would ring if VM didn't pick up.

Am I the only one with this problem?

I tried Submit & Start then deleted and re-added the GV trunk. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Edit:
I added a 2nd GV trunk and it has the same problem.

I also have a Circlenet account and it does NOT have this problem.

Thank you for this feature. Inbound and outbound are working 100%, but I have a problem with outbound. When I call a number and hang up before it's answered, the called phone continues to ring. I called my landline and hung up after 1 ring. The phone rang a total of 4 times and then went to voicemail. I don't know how long it would ring if VM didn't pick up.
