Epilatow, that's because with a soho account, your outbound call time is limited to 60 minutes. Same thing happens for me too. It can be a little bit annoying, but if you are aware of it, it's not too big of a deal. The clock resets with each new call, so you can just call your caller back and start again.

DID to French Mobile needed 07.12.2010 16:16 Forum: Providers

Does anyone have suggestions for me? I need a DID that terminates to French mobile numbers so that I can try and setup callback and call forwarding on my Android phone.

I also need a job in Paris, but I'm assuming that's a question for an entirely different message board.

Thanks dstol & natures. I actually didn't realize that was how outbound routing was selected.

Now when I try to connect, SIPdroid starts the dialing process, and then the phone immediately hangs up. Here's an entry from the call status (I attempted three calls, all of them look exactly the same):

Sipgate UK won't connect - "add credit to your account" 14.11.2010 19:45 Forum: Providers

I've got an Android Phone running SIPdroid, and I'm having trouble getting my SIPgate UK account to work.

I've got one extension, set up as follows:
Display Name: munkymack
URL: pbxes.org/munkymack
Dial Options
username: munkymack-6280
pass: blank
language: english
dtmf: auto
audio bypass: no
connection check: no
handoff: no
dial: SIP/munkymack-6280

I've got two Trunks:
GTALK (standard set-up)
UKSipgate:
dtmf: auto
audio bypass: no
sendrpid: no
username: 7 digit as provided
pass: 8 character as provided
server: sipgate.co.uk
domain: blank
register: yes (inbound and outbound)
All other options are left blank

Inbound Routing:
GTALK: Points to my extension, Force Regular Hours, Everything else blank
UKSipgate: Points to my extension, Force Regular Hours, Everything else blank

Outbound Routing:
GTALK: Valid for all numbers, everything else blank
UKSipgate: Valid for Numbers Starting by: +44, everything else blank

I'm obviously using GTALK to connect to numbers in the US, and I'd like to use UKSipgate to talk to my British friends.

However, whenever i try to call out to a british number, I hear "login to add credit to your account" in a female american english voice. I assume this means i'm somehow connecting through Google Voice, even though it's not connecting to google voice via the app on my phone. So that leads me to believe the problem is with how I am set up.

What should I change?

RE: SIPDroid and Callback (new language question) 23.09.2010 01:05 Forum: Miscellaneous

Thanks Baz. My apologies for asking a dumb question.

This may not be as dumb. I've added my webcall name to my extension, and added my mobile number to the call forking field in the same extension. Otherwise, all fields are set to default. Is there anything I need to do to make sure this works? should i change the audio bypass setting? would that cut down on delay?

SIPDroid and Callback (new language question) 22.09.2010 08:51 Forum: Miscellaneous

In a thread on the SIPDroid google group , Pascal answered a question about using SIPDroid's built in Callback Feature, where he discussed Call Forking. The relevant part of the discussion (from 2009) is here:

Zitat:
On PBXes it requires two settings in extensions:
1) The webcall URL needs to be set and entered into Sipdroid.
2) The mobile number needs to be in the "call forking" field.

I've looked, but don't see anything having to do with call forking. Has the language of PBXes changed since then? Should I be looking for something else?

Note: I've posted a version of this question on the SIPDroid google group as well, and offered to write a walkthrough for the wiki there. That offer holds true for PBXes as well

RE: Forward to French Mobile 28.08.2010 13:46 Forum: Miscellaneous

Good idea, Baz. When the call attempt shows up in my call monitor, it now looks similar to calls that have been completed via SIP, but it still doesn't ring through.

The setup I'm using involves a Google Voice number that forwards to an SIP number provided by SIPgate (I'm using SIPdroid on my Android phone). If I call the Google Voice number from Gizmocall, it rings about six times, but never on my android handset, and then my Google Voicemail picks up. If I use Gizmocall to call the SIPgate number directly, it rings five or six times, and then I get a busy signal.

Stuff gets routed through SIPsorcery, and that may have an effect on things as well, but I'm not sure.

I don't actually have a VOIP provider (I don't think, I'm really new and uneducated when it comes to this stuff) but using my SIPdroid/PBXes/SIPgate/SIPsorcery/Google Voice setup has allowed me to make and receive calls for the last month or so. Is there some sort of service I'm going to need to add before the call forwarding will work?

Forward to French Mobile 27.08.2010 15:09 Forum: Miscellaneous

I'm trying to set up forwarding of calls to my SIP number to my French handset while i'm on vacation. I've tried to follow Diafora's steps in this thread , although I'm not sure if I got the Inbound and Outbound routes correct.

My French number is +33 (0) 640 XXX XXX (left out the last six numbers for security purposes, obviously)

When setting the PSTN number, what should I do about the + and the (0), leave them in?

My Inbound Routing (named MobileForward) is set to ring my mobile extension.

My outbound routing (also named MobileForward) routes through my existing SIPsorcery trunk and the destination is a custom dial pattern: +330640XXXXXX

Does anyone have suggestions as far as what I might be missing?

Setting up Callback using SIPdroid 25.08.2010 12:10 Forum: Miscellaneous

I've got a Soho account and SIPdroid on my Android phone (HTC Magic with Cyanogen 6.0.0 RC3), and I've currently got a French pay as you go SIM with mobile data. I set everything up according to the tutorial by Grunted on the XDA forum so my setup is: Google Voice --> SIPgate --> SIPsorcery --> PBXes --> SIPdroid (I may have gotten the order wrong there, but the setup works).

I'm trying to utilize the callback feature, but cant figure out how to integrate it into my current PBXes setup, which is as follows:

Extensions (2):
Classic: forwards to my mobile (i can't get this to work either, but one problem at a time)
SIP: munkymack-extension (just UN, pass and webcall URL are filled in)

Ring Group (1):
sends to my SIP extension

Trunks (2):
SIP/Sipgate
SIP/SipSorcery

Inbound Routing (3):
munkymack-extension (set to ring group 1)
SIPgate (set to ring group 1)
SIPsorcery (set to ring group 1)

Outbound Routing (2):
0 SIPsorcery (valid for all numbers)
1 SIPgate (valid for all numbers)

I've read the thread with the callback walkthru multiple times, but I'm not sure if I need to tweak my current setup, or add completely new trunks and inbound routing. I just don't understand much of the terminology on PBXes in general. I'm happy with what I have so far, but I'll be travelling soon and will be less likely to be around WIFI all the time, so if I can get callback working (so that i can use EDGE or even an SMS to initiate the callback) it will make my life a whole lot easier.
