RE: can't receive calls 17.07.2009 05:12 Forum: Bugs

Mine have been going down for the past two days. And I am getting an account cancelled notification. I have not changed anything on here or on Paypal to trigger that. I have been out of the country for the past month and have not touched any settings on pbxes to cause trunk outages. Is it perhaps the notifications are false?

This is known as call broadcasting.
I think we had a thread about this
before. I know I asked about it.
I think Asterisk has the ability, but
it is not part of the pbxes service.

RE: Voicemail size 07.11.2008 23:09 Forum: Feature Requests

Ok, two things. How can I make these changes?

And, I was reviewing the voicemail I was testing. It cut me off in the middle of a word. What could be the cause of this?

Edit: I tested again with the same result. 1 minute message. So, I don't think it's the silence threshold. Perhaps there is a bug, if so can you please move this message to where it ought to be. And what can I test to give you more info?
Thank you.

My settings do reflect a 3 minute length.
Is it possible that the silence threshold was triggered? Can we make
it less sensitive? Actors tend to pause and change volume when they speak.
I just don't want them getting all confused and frustrated when what I want from them is a simple voicemail.

Has this been done? I can't find the feature.
My voicemail cuts off after 1 minute. I have
actors calling in to read scripts, I need to be
able to extend this. Thank you.

Is there a Group Call / Voice Broadcast / Phone Blast type of program for pbxes.org or SIP? 04.09.2008 10:02 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hello,

The non-profit arts organization I work in is having an art fair and we want to call some area residents to let them know about the date and time. We DON'T have the manpower to actually call each person. (there are 2 of us plus two interns) so we need some type of auto dialer with outgoing message. I have done searches but there doesn't seem to be an industry standard in naming - Group Call, Voice Broadcast and phone blasting seem to be popular. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How to Transfer a call to someone's voicemail? 27.08.2008 18:00 Forum: Queues, Digital Receptionist, Faxmail, Voicemail and Ring Groups

I have tried all types of button presses but, I always get an "All Circuits are busy, please try your call again later."

Thank you

**Update: I found under General Settings a place to define the prefix for a direct to voicemail call. It was set to *. This is what I had originally thought, but that doesn't work for some reason on my setup. I changed it to 9 and now Transferring to 9<Exten> works perfectly.

I will do that. Just wondering if anyone here had any info first. I don't like to bother him. I have this impression that he is extremely busy. :o) But, I guess I need to get it working.
Thank you.

Outgoing CID and CNAM 10.08.2008 16:27 Forum: Providers

I am starting a new thread about this topic as the one that is relevant was hijacked by users trying to figure out CID Passthrough to mobiles. I am using les.net as my main provider and the only one I am really concerned about fixing for the time being. So, with all the combinations of caller id info that I have put in to both pbxes.org and les.net I have only gotten these results:

a)
Name: Unknown
Number: Unknown

b)
Name: Les.net 1996
Number: 646-401-XXXX (Correct info)

c)
Name: Unkown
Number: 131XXXXXX.... (les.net peer name)

* This last one happens if I leave the CAller ID box on Les.net blank.

So, does anyone have an idea how to get it to display:

Name: "My Name"
Number: "My Number"

Thank you for any help.

That looks really cool. I don't understand half of it but hey! How about we make a subset of users willing to submit some of there system to testing accounts. I would definitely put my home phone to the test. If you call my house and don't know my cell then you must be a telemarketer. No loss if the system gets wonky. I am down....

Getting this WiKi post back on topic... 24.07.2008 11:25 Forum: News

I have noticed that the WiKi simply isn't growing very much. So, I started a little project. I created a copy ot the Setup Menu structure in the WiKi so we can all fill in with our knowledge. Sort of like a manual. Hopefully, it can get people more familiar with each of the entries in the menu categories, also I think it can show the differences in capabilities of each subscription level. For example it can show that SoHo doesn't have call recording and other levels do. But, since I am in SoHo someone else needs to add/edit those things.

How does subscription "Stacking" work? 24.07.2008 10:42 Forum: Miscellaneous

Ok, so as I can't get a refund for my quarterly subscription I was hoping to find another way of solving my needs on this system. [Re: http://www1.pbxes.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=1216657925 ]

I would like to understand how subscription stacking works. If I make a second subscription to my current SoHo account does that mean I will have 20 extensions? Can I even stack SoHo accounts? Will this mean I have two usernames or all under the same account?

Thank you.

I am not sure what it is, but it seems to be able to connect a lot of things together. Which is good right?

I agree as well. Part of my work involves Voice Over recording. I think a shoddy outgoing message would not be
as impressive as a nice well produced upload. Having the ability to make a standard greeting for several extensions would also be a benefit.

Upgrade Credit or Refund? 21.07.2008 17:32 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hello,

I have always been confused with the billing process on this service.

Currently I use the SoHo plan which I pay quarterly. I find that I need more extensions now and want to upgrade to a Premium level plan. Will I lose the credit that I paid a week ago for my quarterly subscription if I upgrade now? Or will this credit transfer to my new plan? Thank you.

Is there an option or way to get the voicemail files that are sent to the email address to be labeled such as "CID-TIME".wav so we can better keep track of the files?
