SUPPORT FOR g729

I want to know if your pbx will work with sip providers that only allow g729 codec. I have one account that is like this and it´s the only trunk that doesn´t seem to work.

Currently supported codecs are:
* G.711 A-law
* G.711 u-law
* G.726

We have not decided on G.729 yet. Which provider is only supporting G.729?

Hi,

g729 is vital, some extensions might be on 128k or less upload dsl lines

I would love to see ilbc and GSM enabled.

Yeah gsm and iLbc mainly are the best alternatives to g.729 which is not free

The majority of my clients are on ADSL and using upstream speeds of less than 128K. G.729 seems to be the only codec that is consistent in reliability and audio quality.
