no UA connected, PBX shows registrations
I now have three extensions in my PBX with this problem...
No device connected and even after deleting and recreating extension, PBX shows something registered. Etherreal clearly shows server returning UNAUTHORIZED to UA, and UA shows unregistered.
I have deleted the following extensions:
302
400
the remaining stuck extension is on the system still, and was MY extension!
300
I believe this may be occurring having something to do with DIDs delivered via a trunk ACCOUNT-EXT@217.195.32.11. In two of the three cases I know I was working with DIDs when it occurred. Once it happens, the extension is unusuable even after deleting an re creating.
After making this original post, now extension 401 got stuck today. Extension 401 was foirmertly 400 , and before that it was 302 Now I can not seem to modify or add a DID without this happening!
This starts to occur on the first inbound call, and is unrecoverable.
We can not keep changing extension numbers! This will be the third change for one of the extensions. This is clearly a bug, and although I have made Pascal aware of it, nothing has happened to fix it. not only is it a bug, it is a bug that affects the usability of the PBX
RE: no UA connected, PBX shows registrations
You should never use the same name for an extension and for a trunk. It can't be both. Otherwise strange effects like persistent registrations can occur.
If you want to receive calls from a DID on an URI "account-111@pbxes.org" then you need to setup an inbound route where "account-111" is entered as the trunk name. This route points to the extension that should actually ring for these calls.
Now, if you want to specify certain options (dtmfmode audio bypass) you need to setup a trunk with the name of the URI and 217.195.32.11 as the SIP server. In this case the corresponding extension may not be called 111. Better use "account-trunk1" for naming the URIs.
I too am having a problem with extensions remaining registered, after the devices are disconnected. Details are as follows:
Extension 100 is a Nokia E61. The "mobile option" setting is set to "yes", although this problem also occurs if the "mobile option" setting is set to "no".
Extension 101 is a softphone (X-Lite).
When extension 100 is turned off, the status icon shows that it is still connected. This happens for at least 30 minutes after the Nokie E61 has been turned off. When calls are incoming, there is no ringing tone heard from the caller, but the status icon shows that the phone is ringing.
This behaviour also happens when extension 101 is disconnected (ie, X-Lite is shut down).
Is there any possibility of configuring an option to "time out" the registration of an extension? Shouldn't the "mobile option" setting fix this issue for the Nokia?
I'd appreciate any comments or tips.
