traurig grandstream ht 488 not registering.

i have configured an ht 488 with my pbx account all was working fine untill a day back when the device just lost its registration. and now refuses to register. i have tried many diffrent settings but witout any luck.

i also tried setting the DMZ in my (zyxel router) to the ht488 IP.

3 -4 days back the the nat type was showing as open internet (without dmz) and yesterdy it started showing nat type as UDP port blocked. then when i turned on the DMZ it is now showing nat type as fullcone.

even after doing all this the device refuses to register please can someone help me urgently.

i forgot to mention that when i tried to configure the same account in eyebeam on the same network behing the same router it seems to be working fine.

Two things for you to try:

Change the SIP port on the HT488 to 5065, and see if it registers. By the way on which port is the EyeBeam soft-phone listening?

Connect the HT488 in another network (like your home or office) and verify if it registers from there.

i reset the device to fact. settings and reset it with the account settings it seems to be registering now, but there is another problem the device seems to loose its registration on and off. this does not happen at regular intervals.

the registration is set to 60 min and reregister is set to 20 sec.

i tired reducing the time to 30 min but it still gives the same problem.

thanks in adv

Have you loeaded the latest firmware on the HT-488?

Which STUN server are you using, and where is the device located physically?

the stun server i am using is stunserver.org

and the device is located in india

Maybe you could use a STUN server closer to India, than the one in the US.
