Show DID number when receiving calls

I have a pbx set up with 7 diff. DID numbers. (7 different companies)
It's important that the receptionist can see the callin DID number or company name so she can announce...
- welcome to company xxxx or
- welcome to company xyx
How can i do this, the only information i see now is the callers number.

Regards
Boris

A couple of ways to do this:

Route each DID to its own call ring group (or call queue).

In the ring group or call queue define "CID Name prefix" to be whatever you want (it can be text) say "ABC" or "XYZ"

Every extension can be in all the ring groups or call queues.

ABC or XYZ will then be shown before the number calling. So the CID shown will be "XYX 7836249896" etc

Another option you can do is, if you use Call Queue, to set an "agent announcement" which says the company name when the agent answers the call - so the agent announcement can say "This is a call for XYZ company please answer in their name"

jules.

Queues but shows busy???

I did as you suggested, and that part works now.
I have 7 DID numbers and 7 Queues and i have a static extension (100 reception) in each of the Queues.
But when more than one calls a DID number it shows "number is busy" on the caller's phone.

I have 4 different DID providers:
musimi.dk
voip9.telsome.dk
sip1.unotel.dk
sip3.yourrute.net

But only voip9.telsome.dk works correct.

I know that musimi has unlimited channels per DID number
and sip1.unotel.dk allow 80 channels per DID number.

How can i get it to work as expected.
And max callers is of cause set to 0 (unlimited).

Boris

Possible UA limitation?

Hi Boris,

What kind of User Agents (UA) do you use? Are they ATAs, IP phones, soft-clients? What is their brand and model?

Do they support multiple calls per registration? How many registrations do they support?

Depending on the number of concurrent calls you are trying to accept, you might have to look at multiple call appearance phones.

Call to Queues

Maby i completely misunderstand Queues...

But i supposed that it's the PBX wich "holds" the Queue, and not IP hardphones or softphones. The problem is when more than one calls the same DID/pbxes, they just get a busy info or nothing.
The first call goes automatically to the reception (static extension) next call should just join in and stay in the queue...-until someone pick it up.

Boris
