Call Transfer/Fwd with Betamax

Trying to configure my extensions to offer call processing features like blind/attended transfer and call forwarding. Unfortunately with my equipment (Grandstream GXP-2000), I can’t get these features to work with my two Betamax trunks (VB, WCD). For example, when I try to execute either a blind or attended transfer, the 1st party is disconnected. (Call features for GXP-2000 is off.

With my soft phone, it’s a different story: I still can’t use the PBX codes (e.g., ##) to execute transfers, but if I use eyeBeam’s transfer button it works fine. Could someone explain to me what I need to do to configure my trunks correctly?

At first, I assumed these were simply features not permitted by Betamax, but as it works with eyeBeam that must not be the case. If no one’s really sure how to do it, could someone perhaps recommend a provider with whom such features can be executed directly from my hard equipment?

On a final note, I’ve got to applaud PBXes: I’m a newbie with little experience, but they’ve certainly got a great system here. It’s not only simple for beginners, but it also offers programming flexibility for the more advanced. Fantastic…Vielen Dank für Eure tolle Leistung!

Call Transfer

Hi there,

Yes, call waiting has been activated, thanks for the help there.

But call transfer and forwarding doesn't work: When I dial ## or *2, I get the recording that says transfer and then the dial tone. I enter the external number I want to transfer to and with ## I get the message "I'm sorry, that extension is invalid". With *2 I get no message, just a brand new dial tone.

Call forwarding doesn't work either, I simply get the voice mail.

Keep in mind, if I wish to transfer or forward to an internal extension, it work perfectly. I only have problems when transferring or forwarding to a pstn.

Thanks for your help!

Michael

Fragezeichen RE: Call Transfer/Fwd with Betamax

Please recheck your findings. Call transfer cannot yield the PBX message "I'm sorry, that extension is invalid". This looks like a message from configuration of call forwarding.
