Privacy Manager

I have recently signed up to your Premium Service and was a little dismayed to discover that when you put privacy manager on the end user gets a message asking for their number. At this point I was able to enter any number i saw fit and it let the call through. Is this normal? Is there no way of grabbing the ID for matching up purposes?
