Dummy Extension w/ Voicemail Forwarding

Hello, I am looking to create a dummy extension (no phone online) and use the built-in voicemail to just email me any VM message. Unfortunately, any way I try to set this up fails and the call just drops. i.e. - SIP or classical

I have tried a suggestion that I saw on the forum to forward to "*extension" (*300 in my test case for extension 300) but that didn't work.

Voicemail and directory is activated for the extension and has a set email. I setup the recording for the extension as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
