Major issues

So, today I have been having major issues with dropped calls and calls never being routed. I just checked the system log and it says this:

"Your system log is empty. Click Submit & Start in Personal Data to get started."

What's up with my account?

Thanks!

Update: I just got the email telling me about the network outage - but it says "as a holder of a free account..." free account? How come I'm marked as having a free account in the system? Or is this just a generic email?

Update2: I'm still having issues - dropped calls, calls not ringing, calls sounding like crap - several people have said they hear a fax type tone on the line - although I can't hear it. I really wish pbxes.com had a status page or a twitter feed or something.

RE: Major issues

There is a status page at www.pbxes.org/status (see FAQ)

RE: Major issues

so more network outages today... and I didn't know until someone called the cell phone and said all they got was a busy signal on the line - pretty unacceptable :/

I have 3 questions:
1) Can pbxes please send out an en email when a problem is detected... not just fixed?

2) Was my account actually moved from www2 to www4? I'm assuming that since my service was completely broken, I did not get moved - please confirm.

3) Why does the email say I have a "free" account when I clearly don't?

Thanks!

"we have successfully restored service www2.pbxes.com
where your account cc is hosted. All paid accounts
from backup site www4.pbxes.com have been transferred back
to www2.pbxes.com.

As a holder of a free account you may need
to re-apply one of your settings (no matter which)
and press the red bar to activate your trunks again."

RE: Major issues

Yes, it was moved. The mails are generic. Did your phones loose registration?

No, the phones did not lose registration (that I know of), but incoming calls from Callcentric went straight to busy signal - what would have caused that? Did pbxes not reregister with CallCentric when the account was moved?

I had to manually go into CallCentric's config page and forward to my cell phone because nothing else was working.

We addressed two issues:
  • There was a problem with your account that affected incoming calls on failover. We have corrected a bug so that similar cases in future will not be able to create that issue any more.

  • All accounts except the paid ones got notified about the detection of an outage. We have corrected that. So you will get notified about beginning and end of an outage in future.

Excellent news! Thanks for the update.
