Registration dropping 3102

I have a spa 3102 that drops registration every 120 sec and does not reregister. It will only reregister if the unit reset. I had the 3102 behind a router/firewall and had NAT setup etc. but copuld not fix this problem.

I moved the 3102 and connected it directly to the cable modem so there is no firewall etc. But it continues to drop the registration after 120 sec. FYI, 120 is what I have registration set too per the other threads.

Interestingly I used voxalot for a few years witout a problem and this was behind a firewall.

When the 3102 is not registered I cant recieve incoming calls, but out going are ok.

I also have PAP2 that has the same problem.

RE: Registration dropping 3102

What you describe is very unusual. Which broadband provider is the cable connection with?

If the SPA-3K is still on the public IP, I would like to take a look at it.

RE: Registration dropping 3102

Its a cable provider is Optus and the modem is a motorola SB4101. I've been playing with the settings for a few weeks now and have "Register Expires:" =900 and "Proxy Fallback Intvl:" = 5 this appears to shorten the reregistration problem on the SPA3102 connected directly to the the modem. I'll let it run over night so I have good sample of data to review.

The PAP2 has the same settings but the registration continues to drop out at about the 900sec mark but takes about the same time to reregister. I'm having trouble finding a decernable patten.

RE: Registration dropping 3102

If the PAP2 is connected directly to the modem, I suspect it will behave in a similar manner. Testing with the SPA-3012 directly connected to the modem for a couple of days, will reveal if there is a provider specific issue.
