traurig Incoming call audio

G'day

I've faced a problem with audio of incoming calls on Linksys SPA-3102.

Outgoing calls are just fine. But all incoming are with no audio at all.

I've tried the same thing with eyebeam, which works fine with incoming calls. So it should be something with the settings.

Can you please advice ?

RE: Linksys SPA-3102 - Incoming call audio

From what you describe, it seems like a vocoder incompatibility issue.

Does the incoming call drop right away when you pickup the handset, or does it remain connected even if there is no audio?

Hi Diafora,

No it doesn't right away. The calls remain connected but with no audio.

RE: Linksys SPA-3102 - Incoming call audio

Well, if the call is ongoing without any audio, we have to look at a NAT traversal issue.

• Is the SPA-3102 located behind another router/firewall?
• Are you facing the same issue with another SIP User Agent on the same LAN?
• Can the No-Audio issue be described as One-Way Audio. i.e. you cannot hear them or they cannot hear you?

RE: Linksys SPA-3102 - Incoming call audio

Yes, it is behind Zyxel 660 RT

• Are you facing the same issue with another SIP User Agent on the same LAN? No, I use eyebeam on the same LAN without any problems

• Can the No-Audio issue be described as One-Way Audio. i.e. you cannot hear them or they cannot hear you?We both dont here each other

I have run other tests

When connected directly to SIP provider on the same LAN calls are fine. I believe that the issues is between SPA-3102 and PBXES.

RE: Linksys SPA-3102 - Incoming call audio

Hi,
If its any help I am using SPA3102s without audio problems. I have turned 3102 nat at line and pstn tabs to 'off', and set a stun server on in the sip tab.
At domestic sites I have no port forwarding, and use the default SIP and RTP ports. G726-32 codec works well. I think firmware is 3.1.22 everywhere, I have not used different versions.
This setup works ok in various locations with different routers and ISPs.
I have been unable to use the audio bypass despite lots of experimenting (never any audio).

RE: Linksys SPA-3102 - Incoming call audio

Ok, I think i understood what is the problem, but have no solution yet. So if you ever experienced that I'd appreciate any advice.

As I understood checking call logs and SPA3102's log, 3102 somehow doesn't send or cannot send the "answered" signal to opposite site.

What can be a reason ?
