packet loss to pbxes.org server...

i was experiencing problems with the call quality past days, having some lags, and I think i figured out why, remmebering this started past days..

pinging pbxes.org....

is there a list of IPs I can use to register? so I can test to find one witch doesnt give me packet loss... I have no problems using voxalot, mysipswitch, or other similar services. it's not my ISP, also got 8mbits connection

if you open your pbx account you can see the server that you are on, for example www5.pbxes.com

there are several server www1 www2 www3 and so on.

so when you ping ping the server you are on,

for example i am on www5 so i do:

ping www5.pbxes.com

actually no... there is a kind of ip-hide, no matter what www i try to ping I get same result....

strange bacause when i ping www5.pbxes.com or www5.pbxes.com I see different ip's where it's going to.

www1 goes to: 88.198.36.79
www2 goes to 216.75.41.112
www3 goes to 88.198.18.239
www4 goes to 64.118.93.76
www5 goes to 91.121.136.13
and so on

when you ping pbxes.org you do indeed get the same results every time. ping pbxes.com instead.

I tested all em, and the best were www2, still gives me a few packet loss, but at least keeps me registered... its a shame there is no other services like that, my isp doesnt let me run a server either.

Where are you physically located?

Running a server over a broadband connection at home, introduces a whole list of issues you might have not considered.

i'm located at brasil and I use 4mbps down / 600kbs up DSL for each extension... on different offices, and the connection is dedicated to voip, using QOS too.

Well, since you are located in Brazil, it makes sense for the www2 (San Diego) server to be the closest one to you. However, your account is currently on the www4 (NY) server.
