No audio with calls between two PAP2

I have 2 trunks connected to my Pbxes account. They both do what they are supposed to (make/receive calls), except for what I thought as the most basic function: talk with each other.

Both trunks are connected to a PAP2, one is located in the USA, the other in Italy.

When I try to call the other trunk, it rings but no sound is audible on either side. Did anybody ever experienced the same problem? And if so, how did you make it work?
