Voice Trading quality

I'm about to sign up to Voice Tarding and would like to hear from other users on here of their experiences before I pay the €500 credit.

What is the quality of calls like (we will mostly use the standard rate)?
Any problems with using it with PBXes (CID forwarding, multiple trunks registering etc.)
What is there up time like? Are they reliable?
Support quality?

Thanks.

RE: Voice Trading quality

Hi,
I've been using Voicetrading for 3 months or so.
Haven't had any problem with quality (I use the premium route because cost difference is very small).
Works well with PBXes and no problems with CID.
Note that you cannot call UK premium rate numbers (0808, 0844, 0845, 0870, 0871, 0800 etc) so you will need other suppliers as well.
Haven't noticed any downtime in normal business hours.
When I first registered I had to pay the 500euro by bank transfer which took a couple of days, only after initial payment did the other options appear.
Support communication isn't always effective.
Ron

RE: Voice Trading quality

I have been using voicetrading in combination with pbxes for around 1.5 years now.

During that time there were some small outages but no serious ones.

The quality is good and as you know you can choose 3 rates. When looking at pricing premium isn't that more expensive than standard. sometimes i use premium when standard seems to have some problems, does not happen very often.

You can registerer as many trunks as you want and you can have several extensions calling at the same time. The only limit is your bandwidth.

The other nice thing is that you can set caller id yourself. For example I made 6 outgoing routes each having their own caller id.
To get your own caller id at trunk level you have:
usename
password

at username you fill in the caller id number
at password: password:username (dont forget the smile

The voicetrading rates are very competitive to several countries, calling to mobile is also competitive.

I just noticed that the seem to accept paypal and visa and some other payment options again. Used to be banktransfer only.

voicetrading accepts registrations only for business customers. If within the EU you have to give them your vat id number. Outside the EU it seems more easy.
You can decide yourself how long the 500 euro will last you.

Also when you have a voicetrading account you can transfer money to other betamax clones, like voipbuster, sipdiscount and other one. The other ones offer 300 min free per 7 days to some destinations.

RE: Voice Trading quality

Thanks for the tips. I wish I had come across VT earlier. It would have saved my a lot of money.

Edited for spelling.
