3starsnet.com

Hello,

I cannot connect to 3starsnet.com, my voip-in number (not possible to have sip-uri)

The normal register string is : user:pass@sip.3starsnet.com/user

How can I enable that in my trunks ?

Thanks

RE: 3starsnet.com

To enable this provider as a Trunk, you should enter the following info in its' Trunk section:

username: 02888xxxx
password: Your_Password
SIP server: sip.3starsnet.com
register: Yes (Inbound and Outbound calls)

Then ensure that you define an Inbound Route for the calls to ring a particular destination (extension, ring group, etc.)

RE: 3starsnet.com

Well, I have looked through the support web pages of the provider, and that is how they advise their users to set it up.

Have you tried to set this account directly on an ATA? Does the phone ring on incoming calls?

RE: 3starsnet.com

Yes, it works perfectly with Ata's and Voxalot
Don't understand why it doesn't work here

RE: 3starsnet.com

Try to set it up as we discussed, and then take a look at the System Log for messages pertaining to that Trunk. What do the messages indicate?

RE: 3starsnet.com

OK, reach out to the provider's support, and ask them what their SIP Proxy doesn't like about these registration attempt.

Ensure they get the time stamps of the attempts, so they know at which timeframe to look at.

RE: 3starsnet.com

I have a 3star account and use the following settings

username: your tel number
password: your password
sip server: 85.119.188.3

this works perfect for me, incoming call without problems.

RE: 3starsnet.com

Then great, for some reason the IP is preferable instead of the FQDN.
