RE: Webcall URL error 21.11.2012 14:43 Forum: Miscellaneous

I can not get the web call to work either. I set up an extension with user_xxx as the address for the web call. I have set up an incoming route that gets dialed by that extension and have configured it to do a call back. When I go to the web page, enter a number then click CALL it says dialing but nothing appears to happen. When I check the call monitor the first entry for that call says 'BUSY'.

Does anyone have any information on what this means and what I might look at to fix it?

I have feeling PBXES is a great tool but as the documentation is very poor, to the point of being non-existing, it is almost impossible to get the full benefit.

SIP Extensions 'BUSY' 01.11.2012 22:44 Forum: Miscellaneous

I have extension 100 setup and connected to via SIPDROID on my mobile. I have some classical extensions at 200 & 201 set. I can call these from extension 100 no problem

I have been trying to get callback to work and have setup a sip extension 105 and a incoming route acountname-150 set to callback to my mobile. It works fine when acountname-105@pbxes is called from another sip phone but if I try calling extension 105 from the phone that is extension 100 it does not work and "Busy" is shown in Call Monitor.

Any ideas what might cause this and what I might do to investigate?

RE: SIP URI calling 01.10.2012 22:17 Forum: Feature Requests

"Calling numbers at SIP URIs e.g. ###@dom.tld does not work, because destination numbers are picked up and then routed by outbound dial rules.

You can try to exclude the number from your dial patterns defined in outbound routing.

Calling alphanumeric abc@dom.tld should be no problem."

But why? I have never come across a SIP URI that is not number@xxx.com

It seems a HUGE bug that the code assumes that a user that dials 1234@sip.org really meant to dial 1234.

RE: Unable to CALL SIP numbers from SIPDROID or to DIVERT to SIP from PBXes Extension 25.08.2012 20:13 Forum: Terminal Equipment

Thanks
Unfotunately that was the first thing I tried: and it works if I am connecting directly to my localphone a/c and I enter sip:12345@draytel.org

If I connected to PBXES with localphone providing trunk it does not work - the call monitor simply lists the numeric part of the SIP address i.e. '12345' as being called.

I hear a message saying that the call can not be completed as dialed.

RE: Support or Documentation 25.08.2012 19:34 Forum: Feature Requests

thanks but I already found the wiki and it is far from being complete. The problem I have is I believe not to do with SIPDROID as I can dial SIP addresses when connected to the trunk provider directly e.g. localphone. It is when I go via PBXES that it does not work.

Support or Documentation 24.08.2012 09:53 Forum: Feature Requests

A feature I would like is documentation. The lack of activity on the forum makes it a very poor place to seek information.

The application does appear to work as advertised but I still have no clue as to how to make SIP calls through it except by allocating SIP addresses to specific extensions.

The lack of any serious documentation together with the need to subscribe to a largely inactive forum (the only activity I have seen is for admin to delete a duplicate posting and moving my original post to less relevant section) or pay for personal support does not give a good feeling.

To be honest I do not really need a PBX - I thought I might get extra feature and simplify things but if I still need an individual connection outwith the PBX to make SIP calls then it kinda complicates life.

RE: Admin, Please read ASAP!! 15.08.2012 17:38 Forum: PBXes PRO

While I disagree with the original posters attitude I do understand his frustration. The level of documentation appears very poor: the fact that I had to subscribe to even ask a question on the forum made me worried about the business model being used here.

Its early days and perhaps if some one can point me in the direction of a users manual that attempts to document the function that this site offers then I would be most grateful.

At the moment I await for enlightenment to find out how I can make a SIP call via PBXES - without hardwiring the sip address into an extension.

Unable to CALL SIP numbers from SIPDROID 15.08.2012 14:19 Forum: Terminal Equipment

With SIPDROID connected as extension 100 I am able to call classic telephone numbers but when I try to call a SIP 'number' with format : nnnn@domain.org it fails. I can call a SIP extension that has the dial option set to SIP/nnnn@domain.org and that works. (I have tried dialing SIP/nnnn@domain.org from SIPDROID and that fails).

The log seems to show that pbxes is dropping @domain.or and treating the intial numeric part (nnnn) as a number.

I assume I am doing something wrong but can not think what.
