RE: Google Voice Peering 12.04.2011 01:25 Forum: News

@I-P-TEL

For inbound calls, I am noticing my extensions will only ring 3-4 times before going to my GV voicemail. It seems like it takes ~15 seconds just for pbxes to receive the call and route the call to my extension(s).

To compare, I also made some test calls using my Sipgate DID in GV instead of Google Talk. Using Sipgate as my trunk in PBXes, my extensions rang within a couple of seconds so the delay seems to be with using Google Talk.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks!

Inbound Routing - two routes for same trunk 28.03.2011 06:02 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hi!

I would like to define two inbound routes for the same trunk:

Trunk 1
CID = 1xxxxxxxxxx
Use Ring Group 1

Trunk 1
Use Ring Group 2

I have created both inbound routes and called with the caller id matching the one specified in the inbound route. Calls from the specified caller id are routed to Ring Group 2 instead of Ring Group 1. Is there a way to set the order of inbound routes (like outbound) or is something I am missing here?

Thanks!

RE: Google Voice Peering 19.11.2010 04:35 Forum: News

@I-P-TEL -- Still having inbound issues. Still cant receive a call through GTalk unless I am logged out of every GTalk instance.

For out bound, the call does not always "connect" immediately. I did some test calls against a phone number that has an IVR. Normally, the call is connected withing 1 ring and the voice recording starts. Without GTalk as my outbound trunk, it will ring 5-6 times (or more). When the call is connected, I have missed the missed 10-15 seconds of the recorded message. I also placed a couple of calls to my friends and they advised me that it took me a while to respond AFTER the answered the call and said, "Hello" a few times.

Do you have any suggestion on how I can resolve these issues?

Thanks!

@erave02 - I think thats fine actually. I dialed a couple of calls and checked the log -- it dials the "+" for me as well.

Gtalk/+1xxxnnnnnnn@voice.google.com

I dialed a couple of number with and without the 1.

Have your received any notices in GMail advising that your account is being accessed from an unauthorized location? This is of course correct as PBXes is connecting to Google. Just curious.

@I-P-TEL - Adding a general incoming route did not solve the issue. See below

@I-P-TEL/jamiehofman - Yes, I observed the same thing yesterday. If I log out of ALL other GTalk sessions, the call is comes through PBXes. Any suggestions I-P-TEL?

erave02 - Outbound is working now. Quite honestly, it started magically working after 24 hrs. The only thing I did was delete/create my trunk and routes a few times while I tried to get inbound routing working.

RE: Google Voice Peering 15.11.2010 20:29 Forum: News

@i-p-tel - I have specified myusername@gmail.com and I still cannot receive inbound calls. I checked the system log and it looks like the call is not coming into my PBX at all -- there is no record in the log.

Some other observations/behaviors on receiving calls in PBX with Google Voice:

* Inbound calls to my Google Voice number do ring in Google Talk when I am signed into my email account - My extension does not ring through my PBX
* If I sign out of Google Talk, the call will ring once, then drop - again, my extension does not ring through my PBX. In either event, I should hear the phone ring for ~35 seconds and be directed to my Google Voice Voicemail.
* If I remove my Google Voice trunk from my PBX, the phone ring for ~35 seconds and be directed to my Google Voice Voicemail, as expected. There seems to be something going on with the way PBXes is registering with GTalk.

Any advice on what to try next or is there anything you can check on your end?

As a note, I am now able to make Outbound call with my Google Voice trunk.

Thanks!

Issues here as well.

Inbound:

Setup trunk as myusername@gmail.com
When making a test call, I hear one ring, then silence for about 5 seconds, then a busy signal. I am able to receive calls at the same extension that is specified in my inbound route.

Outbound:

For all numbers dialed, I keep hearing a message that says "Cannot complete your call, please try again." It sounds like the Google Voice lady, but I cannot be sure. The only exception is when I dial other Google Voice numbers -- these will dial correctly.

Also, I have another Google Voice account I am trying to add to PBXes. I am able to successfully add the trunk but when I try to add an incoming route I receive a popup message stating "Name too long!" in reference to the trunk name. The trunk is available when defining Outbound routes. My gmail username for this account is 20 characters plus "@gmail.com" for a total of 30. Can anything be done to increase this size of this field?

I am very excited about this integration -- I have been waiting/hoping this would become a reality. Any assistance is appreciated!

Waiting for Account Verification 24.09.2010 16:15 Forum: Miscellaneous

Hi!

I have been trying to setup an Account for my brother for his business. When I created a free Account for him, it was disabled within days. I am assuming this is because I logged in from the same IP I have used to log into my Account in the past (although this doesnt make sense as I have a paid Account).

Since July we have now sent 2 different verification payments from Paypal and the Account is still blocked. I believe I have followed the process correctly -- can you please let me know why his Account has not been verified? His user name is:

DWSL

Thank you.

Providers that support re-invite (Audio Bypass) 03.04.2010 07:06 Forum: Providers

I am looking to take advantage of Audio Bypass but my current provider does not support re-invite. Can anyone recommend a sip provider that does? (preferably US/California based)

It would also be a plus if the provider allowed the Caller ID to be set through PBXes. I am currently using Callcentric -- great quality but no support for either of the above features.

Thanks!
